Since I have heard both Cruz and Rubio make statements that indicate they understand the looming problem of entitlements, I would support either of them over Trump.  

 

As for what actual solution I want to see, my understanding is that 90% of health care expense is spent in the last year of a person's life.   Medicare pays for a whole lot of stuff that is not really medically necessary, in my opinion, such as therapists that visit people in their homes, hospice care, priests, ministers, giving people baths in their homes, convenience devices such as lift chairs, and so forth.  You'd be amazed what medicare will pay for.   We absolutely have to rein it in.

Nothing specifically like that.  You just asked what I would do about it and whom I would support.   I'm not saying I would specifically support Cruz or Rubio, but I would certainly support them over Trump.   Trump has all the worst aspects of the Republican Party and none of the best aspects of the Republican Party.   It's one thing for a candidate to avoid the subject of entitlements, but it's entirely another thing for a candidate like Trump to specifically state that he wouldn't touch them at all.   One of the main things I like about Republicans over Democrats is a higher level of fiscal responsibility.   I don't even see why Trump calls himself a Republican.   Except that he seems to have rounded up all the Republican Party crazies with all the crazy talk. 

 

Rounding up 11 million people and deporting them?   I'm against that.

Not allowing any Muslims into the country?   I disagree on that. 

Putting a tariff on imported goods?  I'm against that. 

I'm for getting the budget under control, and he has thrown that idea out the window. 

 

The man is a total demagogue and opportunist.   I'm actually hoping he doesn't have any political convictions, because what he's said so far is totally totally stupid.   I'm actually hoping the man is a liar.
