Quote:Really, why? Part of me thinks his success was the doing of having Ware and Miller on opposite ends of him. It definitely helped him big time.

Dude Jackson's success has nothing to do with those edge rushers, if you watched Broncos games Jackson often penetrated (giggity) offensive lines without the help of Miller and Ware, you can make the argument that Jackson's dominance helped those two edge rushers as QB's were almost never able to "step up" into the pocket.

Jackson would be a nice get, but I really hope we push hard and get Bruce Irvin as well.

Quote:Lol, who was freaking out? And I'm not really sold on Jackson. I just dont know why he would be our highest priority signing.

These people seem to be pretty sold on him:

ProFootballTalk: #1 free agent

Sports Illustrated: #1 free agent

NFL.com: #2 free agent

SBNation: #1 free agent

Chicago Tribune: #1 free agent

Yahoo!: #2 defensive free agent

ProFootballFocus: #3 free agent

CBS Sports: #2 free agent

Considering the fact that we're a little over 24 hours into the tampering period, kind of.

Just relax, man.

Is it possible you don't see it because you haven't watched a lot of Bronco games?

I think they're gonna make a serious push to sign Jackson, Irvin and Vernon. They're 3 really good defenders that would help make up for bad drafting in prior years, and we can easily afford all three plus our own guys.

lol, you are worried about other teams signing RBs Murray and Miller. You must not of watched us much last year. Those RBs are the least of my worries as we had one of the best defenses against the run. You better worry about other teams QBs if you want something else to worry about

Screw those guys. BklynJag opinion is the only one that matters. He's always right.

You bet, Jackson is our Michael Bennett, Irvin is our Bruce Irvin (haha), and Vernon is Cliff Avril. Myles Jack will be Bobby Wagner, Jalen Ramsey is Earl Thomas.

Sorry, should I have added a smiley face so you would know I was being silly?

Now if we did this, that would be crazy good.

Well, we've already established that interior pressure is more disruptive than exterior pressure. Malik Jackson had the 7th most pressures in the league, edge and inside combined. That seems like a pretty darn helpful combination to me.

Oh yeah, he also rated very highly against the run. He was also very highly rated in 2014 so he isn't some one hit wonder. He's just darn good.

Where's JW when you need her?!!!

Seriously though. Jackson was an absolute animal this past season. Especially in the playoffs. He won't be doubled since we will (hopefully) get a healthy Fowler and Marks back. Inside pressure with Marks and Jackson. Outside pressure with Fowler and hopefully Irvin/Vernon.

Continue to hear the Jags making a very strong push for DEN DL Malik Jackson. Deal could be agreed to well before the start of league year

I don't think Dave plans on stopping free agency after signing Jackson.

Dude it's an obvious certainty they're going after edge rushers.
