Umm, what? I have said Malik was the top FA many times...I am very happy. We overspent because that's what you do in FA, and the Raiders overspent because that's what you do in FA...and that's why we are still in the cap lead despite spending 15 mil/yr. All it was was a simple explanation as to how we spent so much and still have the most money...

I know DEs and DTs are getting paid. I never said they weren't. However, a LDE which is a non-premium position, getting paid like Julio or AJ is ridiculous. If we were talking about Vonn Miller, sure $14 million plus... Not Malik freaking Jackson though. How many 4-3 LDE's are getting paid over $10 million in the NFL? The answer is one and he's about to get cut (Charles Johnson). After he gets cut, the highest paid LDE's in the NFL will be Jared Odrick, Carlos Dunlap, and Michael Bennett between $7 and 8.5 million.


Anybody who pays Malik Jackson significantly more than $10 million will significantly regret that decision and will be asking for a restructure as early as the following season.
