Sarkisian is a much better coach than Orgeron.  Good hire for USC.

After a 3-1 stint, I'm betting JDR will be a head coach next year.

Interesting hire. A little uninspiring I think.

This was almost inevitable. To be honest, I was a little surprised that USC didn't try and hire him away once Carroll left -- or maybe they did and I just don't remember it -- seeing as how he was a member of Carroll's staff for all of those years.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Washington should make a bid at going after the Boise St coach.  Boise is slowly becoming non-relevant due to their non-BCS affiliation.   I'd get out now if I'm that coach -- it's hard to maintain a great program when you're out of the picture AND you're being watched heavily by the NCAA for prior infractions.

Orgeron is a TERRIBLE head coach. I commend him for his accomplishments at USC, but it was manly due to the talent they have. Should also go tp show you how terrible Kiffin is. I've been a die hard Ole Miss fan and the only thing Coach O did for us is recruit. USC needs to do everything they can to keep him in SoCal. He will bring talent there. Houston Nutt was the heir to Coach O in Oxford and he enjoyed two trips to the Cotton Bowl off of his players. He quickly reduced Ole Miss to a SEC bottom dweller after those players left

Chris Pederson is actually loyal to Boise. he is a rare breed

Thank God they did not hire JDR. I wanted him to stay in Denver.

orgeron just resigned even though the trojans offered more money for him to be the assistant again. he should get a hc job soon.

I think JDR realizes he is only going to make it as a DC. He has a good thing going in Denver for another two or three years (until Peyton hangs it up)

If JDR was not confident he could be a head coach again, do you really think he would apply for the USC job? He interviewed the day before John Fox was hospitalized.

I doubt it will be at a big program. I could see him at a place like Kansas that has zero expectations.

Heero, are you racists?

JDR will not be interested if that job becomes available.

What's funny is earlier yesterday, Sarkisian was on Seattle radio denying that he had even interviewed for the job.

Good thing for USC's AD that even he can recognize JDR as the man he is.
