Adam Schefter: "Chris Ivory is expected to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars".

Thousand yard back and replacement pro bowler last year.  I hope Yeldon starts and Ivory gets a lot of time in.  I could see them each go for 800 yards and 5 TDs.  Should help Blake out.

This should back for a nice compiment.

Yeldon will be the starter. Slasher type runner and get the 3rd down reps because he has good hands..

Ivory will spell and be more of a pounder. He will get the short yardage and goaline opportunities.

Correct but the failure rate of a male caucasian to carry the workload as a successful Primary RB for the course of 4-5 consecutive years over the past 20 years is close to 100%

The Front Office emphasizes analytics.

This is analytics.

Flick through this list --- it's hilarious !!   Alstott is the only one.  A lot of these players are wearing leather helmets.

I'd like to see D-Rob used out in the open area.  Dude is a playmaker but just needs some space.

Quote:yup, todays NFL never has a two back system.
Yeah because you couldn't have gotten another back late in the draft to have that system. I forgot how hard it is to find a running back these days in the league. You're just happy your favorite team is winning the offseason again aren't you?

(If RB Color = "White", Go To next RB on List)
Actually, this would make all RBs white!

Quote:Wow. Think the starting RB position is up for grabs?
I think it's more like Yeldon and Ivory splitting carries, with D-Rob coming in as a change of pace.

I'LL USE BIG FONT SO YOU CAN READ !!!!    Perhaps you missed my statement that referenced IN THE PAST 20 YEARS !!

If you want to load your roster based on Paul Hourung and Ed Podolak's  production just go right ahead.   Might as well get some good ole 275 pound offensive lineman while you're at it.

Thank you !!!   Exactly Right.

ole bobbycat failed to read and also realize that the game has changed since John Davis Crow was carrying the load for the Chicago Cardinals back in 1958.  Yes, I had to google that.

Quote:Funnily enough, Ivory had probably the worst yp/c game of his career last year against the Jags average just 1.1 yard per carry (26 yards total) on 23 carries.

I believe it was the worst rushing performance in NFL history for a player with 20+ carries in a game.

Still, Ivory is a great complimentary back who can move the pile.

Ivory was attempting to save Gus' job.

It was after that game, Gus made the comment "I want that guy on my team"

He is a perfect fit. We still have Yeldon.

Great signing.

I have thought about this many times.

Also interesting is the lack of "black" kickers and punters in history.

but isn't QB and C dominated by "whites"

meh... suppose it don't matter though. I'll take purple and green people on my team if they can run and tackle.
