It's getting SOOO hard to trust him. I know some crazy stuff happened in both cases of Irvin as well as Vernon. Irvin and his agent seemed to play off as JAX was big on him and we were in on Vernon right til the end but he wanted New York City, but man. I just don't know...lol

Robert Ayers a better and younger Clem when we originally signed him.

Sign me up for Ayers. D of the last few years has proven u will win with a consistent pass rush (I consider Seattle phatom winning the SB two years in a row). Draft Jack or Bosa or Ramsey and we good. I'm not worried about the draft at all.

I said all along we should have just signed Irvin over Vernon but Dave thought he could get Vernon and Irvin slept away, Irvin wanted to be here but we didnt want him as much, it sucks now we are scrambling

We can but if Bosa is gone then you might be reaching if you draft one of the other DE's at 5, then at 38 all of those other guys might be gone

Makes sense. Wells as a swing tackle, Shatley as a backup guard, and Bowanko as a backup center. Now we just need a starting interior lineman.

We don't know what Irvin wanted. Yes he followed some Jags fans and tweeted random stuff about Florida, but some of these guys seem to play other teams to gain leverage. We happened to be the team with the most cap in the league.

 

Irvin is an OTTO, and I saw a statistic that we used OTTO on 40% of snaps last year. Yes he'd chip in as LEO, but I think that's pretty telling that paying Irvin 10M per would not make a ton of sense if we don't use that position much.

We didn't hear Gipson's name much until he signed. I wouldn't be surprised to see the same thing happen for Weddle.
