Looks like the are letting all their top players go.  Joe Thomas is 31 but it would be nice to get him for 3 or 4 years

Really nice haul today. Gipson was probably the most important free agent we signed, but Malik, ivory, gipson, and the punter is a big improvement for our team.

Likely not looking at Ramsey in the first anymore though.

Gipson is going to be awesome.

I had to leave earlier because bklyn and jerrad or whoever were being so annoying that it wasn't even worth it reading the thread.

Thats what I was thinking too, tearing it down to build it up

Sashi Brown who is a good friend of mine and the VP for Clev was with the Jaguars before going to the Browns

If we can land Ayers I would call this a really good FA. That way out hand wouldnt be foced to take a pass rusher in the first few rounds. We could go

1st Myles Jack

2nd Ryan Kelly

If we dont get a pass rusher our hand is forced to take a pass rusher in the 1st or 2nd. Though if Bosa is their in the first would be good value. Or Dodd, Spence,Ogbah would be good value in the 2nd

Starting in 2016,  the Browns probably will be grooming yet another QB of the future.   They have to weigh what they can get for Joe Thomas in a trade vs. the benefits he would provide in terms of protection.   Unless they get a very good offer for Thomas,  they are probably better holding on to him.

Even if we get Ayers, which is a must get now, our hand is still pretty much forced to grab a pass rusher in the 1st, or 2nd round.

Not really, I could see a

1st Myles Jack

2nd Ryan Kelly

If Bosa is gone in the first and guys like Spence, Dodd, and Ogbah are not there in the 2nd you dont reach. Take the best player in Jack and the best center in Kelly

I disagree. Ayers has proven to be an adequate pass rusher. Sure, we could definitely use more help there but we are gaining a top 5 pick in that department who has huge potential. Can't solely rely on him, but you don't HAVE to put a top 2 round pick into the same position to. Malik, healthy Sen'derrick, Fowler, Odrick, Ayers would definitely give us a very solid rush. We will get a LEO somewhere in the draft, but at 5 the only guy that I possibly see is Bosa who isn't exactly a LEO himself. In RD 2 I see some good CB options (which i also a huge need), good OLB candidates for the OTTO spot which likely will have some passing ability, and an interior OL.

Ayers and Fowler is a big upgrade from Clemons and Branch

Yup, I agree. Not huge on Kelly in Rd 2 but he is very solid. Definitely far from a sure bet of a LEO in the top 2 rounds. If we don't get Ayers, thing get interesting, but LEO is an odd position. Some guys fall that normally would be too small in a normal defensive setup that would be there in rd 3, 4, etc.

Enormous, in fact.

Couple that with Malik and getting Marks back on the interior.
