Was comparing them myself,if Dave or Gus had the choice of Jackson or Vernon on the roster who do you think they would pick?

Can see the merits of both players but I think they would pick Vernon.

Yeah, I don't know what they would think, but I think I would pick Jackson, because a guy that size and that athletic is a much more rare player than a guy like Vernon. There are probably half a dozen guys in the draft that are similar to Vernon. Vernon was more of a need short term, but I'm looking beyond one year.

The jumps, shuttle, and 3 cones are waaaaaay more important. Bosa was average in the vertical jump, but 80th percentile in the broad jump, and 90th percentile in the 3 cone and shuttle.

For what DEs need to do on the field, Bosa was pretty freaky.

The jumps were what I was talking about, I don't put much stock in 40s either (but it would've made me feel a little better) Bosa isn't particularly heavy so being "average in the vertical" and 80th percentile in the broad jump isn't freaky-top-5-worthy to me. He was good with the cone and shuttle, admittedly. Ramsey and Hargreaves looked much better and the Jaguars do need secondary help so it's just weird to me that everyone wants Bosa.

Hilarious, just as I thought. Not many players want to come to irrelevant Jax and disappear from the radar. If NYG wanted Malik, they would have got him.

If it is between Jax and places like NYC, Philly, Boston, or Dallas, we will always lose. Jax is seen as a 2nd rate city and organization.

I'd take Vernon based on the fact that this draft is very deep in interior linemen but it wouldn't be an easy decision.

Truth hurts. Maybe he didn't directly bash the org but he 100% took a dump on the city of Jacksonville. Pretty much said he wouldn't be comfortable living in a podunk town compared to miami or new york.

Dude, they tried everything they could. Even the same amount of money practically. Some players want the glamour and some dont.

And what's the point in moaning about it? It's literally something out of anyone's control. The only way that could be changed is by moving the team and nobody wants that.
