Is that Jerrad dude banned yet? What a loser! Like even if he is "right" about the Vernon situation, what is the point of being so ridiculously negative? I hope you're reading this moron. WHAT IS THE POINT? Are you satisfied? Huh?

The Jaguars lost a bidding war that made OLIVIER FRICKEN VERNON THE HIGHEST PAID DEFENSIVE END EVER? ARE YOU SURE YOU WANTED OLIVIER VERNON ON THIS TEAM TO BE THE HIGHEST PAID DEFENSIVE END EVER?!?! REALLY BRO?! Loosen the hell up. Go get a girl or something. Sheesh you're ridiculous.

Yeah I mean I wanted Vernon too but he doesn't have the career stats to justify that price. I'm glad that Dave wasn't going to jeopardize our future cap flexibility for him. We have added some very good players this free agency. We will probably add a couple more and then hopefully we kill the draft.

Quote:So far, they're winning March.

Then again, the actual season doesn't start for a few months.

Meh, are they winning March though? Best OL, Irvin, and a very good DB.

We got the best DL, Ivory (who they wanted), and a very good Safety.

I'd say it's pretty even. Unless I forgot a big signing over there.

I just wanted to be negative.  It's the cool thing to do.

All that money and we didn't really do what we were supposed to do. If the season stared today, do you guys think the free agent signings would help us get into the playoffs? Serious question and I'm trying to figure out the logic behind letting Bruce Irvin, Sean Smith, Janoris Jenkins, Mario Williams all get away. Vernon  i kind of understand but the others I'm kind of confused. Now we are going to have rely on the rookies to come in and make the difference, hopefully they can but I don't know if the moves we made make us a playoff team.

How often are playoff teams 'made' by free Agency?

Well the team was willing to pay him more than Watt so you can't really use that anymore

I don't recall Jenkins or Smith even being mentioned by anyone but on this board, so I don't know how you can call that 'letting them get away'.

Don't know that it would have jeopardized our cap that much, but make no mistake, we were pretty much right there with the money. He chose NY.

And he clearly will never match the hype.
Only a chump boos the home team!

Yes, I think those additions to the team make use a playoff team.

@HaysCarlyon My free agent Top 20: Giants have signed 4, Raiders 3, Texans 2, #Jaguars have 1. Which team had the most cap space again?

FA is going nicely for us...win some, lose some. Don't lose sight of the fact that we want to extend our core players next year too (and probably Allan Hurns now). Trust in Dave, he's building what looks to be a fiscally responsible, sustainable winning team. Enjoy it.

Oh and if you don't like Jerrard, put him/her on Ignore. Easy.

in 2 years we need to resign Bortles, Hurns, ARob, Telvin, Linder, and Colvin. How much money will that cost us?

At this point, I think we will have plenty. Even for a few more guys this year and a great one next year!
