Quote:I'd like nick Perry as well for going depth

Perry a FA? He's an interesting option if we miss out on Ayers.

As <a class="bbc_url" href='https://twitter.com/RapSheet'><span style="color:rgb(117,167,186);">@RapSheet</a> mentions, Ayers was scheduled to visit the Dolphins. But the Jaguar$ have <a class="bbc_url" href='https://twitter.com/search?q=%24ince&src=ctag'>$ince</a> moved fa$t to make <a class="bbc_url" href='https://twitter.com/search?q=%24ure&src=ctag'>$ure</a> they get a chance.

Because he is better than the pass rushers we currently have.  Is this difficult to grasp?  You can improve without adding the single best player at each position.

Yup. He was not really a good fit in GB's 34. Would be curious to see him with his hand back in the dirt.

Seattle is interested in him, so that should tell you something.

He was a UFA, not released...

Best available pass rusher who had 9.5 sacks last season.

Malik Jackson and Ayers both went to Tennessee, albeit at different times. It can't hurt our chances!

Let me rephrase. Ayers is gonna be 31 in September and even the Giants didn't want to resign him with the worst defense in football.

We definitely offered a little bit extra cash and Ayers was all about that. Wouldn't be surprised if a deal is already in place.

Played with him for the Broncos..

Ayers would be a good signing, not a "huge" signing like Gipson, Ivory and Jackson but a good stopgap and would be a big upgrade over Branch and Clemons.

He was not  released he was a FA, plus we have a young LEO in Fowler, we just need another pass rusher to rotate with him, plus we can draft another young pass rusher.

Its great to have a solid vet for a few years while Fowler becomes the man, hopefully year 2 of Fowler will be like K.Macks year too in Oak.

Perhaps because they were going to pursue the best DE on the market in Vernon.

<p class="">Jaguars want youth. That’s very important. But with Vernon headed to NYG, they also know pass rush is critical to 2016, even if Ayers is 30.
