@RapSheet #Packers are signing back LB Nick Perry on a 1-year deal, source said (as @TomSilverstein reported). They declined his option but kept him

I wonder if he could sign tonight?

Quote:When he was asked about the Browns he started laughing, then paused, then said "the pause says it all" then tried to clean it up saying nice things.

pretty clear he was thankful for the opportunity four years ago, but also made it fairly clear while trying not to bash on them too hard, that its a mess. At least he gave shout out to the city and the fans, which is really the Browns fans care about. They'd probably like him even more (and hate the Browns FO more) for that comment.

I was thinking the Pats may give him a look. I guess not.

Russell Okung visiting the Giants. I would of thought we would've been interested.

Might be, I think the team is busy with Ayers atm.  Sure would be nice to sign Donald Penn to a 1 year deal though

He's worse than Joeckel...and more injury prone.

Penn was solid last year, but he's 33. It's telling that the Raiders made Osemele a top 5 paid olineman in the entire league and have made very little effort to keep their guy.

Beachum is the LT to target if we really feel the need.

No way in hell is he worse than Joeckel.

He was pretty awful the last couple years. A buddy of mine said the guy made the offensive line worse when he was out there...

Joeckel isn't good, but he is average. Okung it sounds like hasn't even been that. He has the flashy name, and sure I'd be down for competition and hope he can be healthy, but if he's constantly injured and when he plays he's playing hurt/not at full strength and sucking, I'd much rather have Jockel.

Joeckel allowed 7 sacks last year. 5 of them were week 17. If you can forget recency bias then I think 2 sacks from weeks 1-16 is pretty respectable.

There were plenty of non sacks that Bortles miraculously escaped from because of Joeckel that are overlooked.

Yeah...Russell WIlson does that to save Okung even more than Blake does for Joeckel...

An Arizona reporter on Twitter said he spoke with Amukamara and he said he hasn't been in touch with the Cardinals.

Seems like we can grab him even though I'm not the biggest fan of his. Biggest problem is his health.

What does that matter? Cam Newton, Russell Wilson, and a [BLEEP] ton of other mobile QB's do the same for there offensive lineman to make stats look prettier for the offensive line.

Your problem was bringing up an equally average but far more injury prone guy in Okung. If you would have said Beachum you would have had a defendable point.
