Quote:Coples. Chris Long. Aldo Smith. Greg Hardy. Alien Hicks. All good options, most are fairly young.

Aldon Smith is facing a long suspension

A draft pick would give us more production. Chris Long isn't good.

I think we just need a few bodies at this point.

Sign me, i can rush the passer. It would be a cheap signing.

I still wold Like a look at Zach Brown, Hayward, and a decent pass rush. Snag Jack and a pass rusher or corner in the 2nd.

He had two back to back double digit sack years and maybe could have stretched it to three or four if it weren't for injuries.

One thing about Ayers. DC must have something up his sleeve because we have no DEs and could have really afforded that contract.

Pretty dissappointed that Dave wouldn't match that contract Ayers got from the Bucs.

We have lots of money. We have zero pass rush. It shouldn't be that hard.

I don't think money was the issue. It may have been him having the chance to start with Tampa vs being a rotational player in Jax.

Trade for Mingo. Rumor has it, Dave was thinking about it at the deadline. Plus, browns giving away the enitre team.

The guy had 3 sacks last year and 1 the previous.

This. We cannot go into the season with Fowler and a rookie.

I would normally agree but Jones has at least proven himself in the league and isn't some one year wonder.

I forgot about that guy. Had he shown anything?

Not since his rookie year.

Quote:Thanks Debbie Downer.. we didn't have a proven QB when Sanders walked.

I don't think my post was overly negative. It was an honest and simple statement of fact. I even said that I felt that Malik Jackson my have been able to persuade him because he seemed like a leader. Also, unfortunately, it looks like Prince's signing didn't influence Ayers to stay in J-ville. Oh well. The off season is far from over.

While not the ideal solution, this draft has pass rushers.
Only a chump boos the home team!

I agree with you there. Fowler for all intents and purposes is a rookie himself and he's also coming off of an ACL tear.
