They've put themselves in a corner where Bosa should be the pick over everyone.

I really don't see the fit at LEO regardless of ways you want to spin it unless we switch up how we run our defense at times. See it being more likely for a guy like Calhoun in rd 2.

I'd take a rookie Calhoun+Fowler rotation over Clem/branch any day and every day.

I think that scenario - while not ideal - would be an upgrade, and that's a good thing.

It would be. Add in Malik and hopefully a healthy Marks inside and we will have a pass rush. Top end one? No. But it won't be 7 seconds for the QB to get rid of it like last year either.

Alfie is having a meltdown on Twitter. Quite amusing to watch that clown lose it tbh.

Cole Hartley for the most part, Hays Carlton, and Ryan O are doing the exact same but to a lesser extent.

I wonder if a team like the Eagles would want to trade up for a QB where we could get an extra 2nd.  I like Kevin Dodd if we could make that happen

We do have a guy currently on the roster who could play LEO if proven healthy. Emphasis on the health part.

Quanterus Smith was picked up late last season and was a beast coming out of college and leading the nation in sacks before tearing his ACL his senior year. The Broncos drafted him in the 5th round in 2013 draft. I wouldn't completely ignore adding to the position via free agency and draft where available because of him but he's definitely someone who has the potential to fill a rotational void.

Here's a few blurbs from Rotoworld:

Quote:Broncos selected Western Kentucky DE Quanterus Smith with the No. 146 overall pick.

Smith (6-foot-5, 250) was leading the NCAA in sacks (12.5) before tearing his left ACL on November 17. Three came in Week 2 against the bullies on Alabama's offensive line, as Smith made D.J. Fluker look silly a few times. Smith's pre-draft stock was still silent because he couldn't work out for teams. He figures to "redshirt" his first NFL season, but could pay off as pass-rush help in 2014. Smith could fill the old Elvis Dumervil role at right end in two seasons.

Broncos rookie DE Quanterus Smith (ACL surgery) was fully cleared for the start of training camp.

Smith took "regular turns through the defensive line rotation" on the first day of Broncos practice. His recovery was highly impressive after tearing his left ACL last November. Smith is a promising fifth-round pick out of Western Kentucky who shredded Alabama's offensive line for three sacks in a 2012 game.

Broncos coach John Fox has drafted three of the last four players to have at least three sacks in a game against Alabama.

Broncos fifth-round pick Quanterus Smith accomplished the feat last season, beating Crimson Tide RT D.J. Fluker for one sack and LT Cyrus Kouandjio for two.

Broncos signed No. 146 overall pick DE Quanterus Smith to a four-year contract.

A potential fifth-round steal because he's recovering from a November ACL tear, Smith flashed edge-bending pass-rush ability and excellent technique while pacing the nation in sacks per game before his injury. Smith is sitting out rookie minicamp. He could wind up contributing late in the season as a rookie.

BCC is also probably on suicide watch because it's looking Ramsey won't be the pick now. Twitter group think will most likely be 0/4 on the Jags first pick under Dave.

Geno

Teddy

Beasley

Ramsey

You'd think the season was starting tomorrow. We've got the draft then 4 1/2 months to pick someone up.

I like how they think Fowler is probably going to be useless because he tore his ACL 18 months before this season will start. I highly doubt that ACL injury will effect him in the long term.

Quanteras - Western Kentucky.

Somewhere a guy named Gene still has s bad haircut and is chuckling mischievously while petting a cat.

Seriously though - he's an interesting dark horse.

Wait a minute. A light bulb just clicked over my head....

Bjoern Werner should still be available....

Werner was definitely miscasted as a stand up LB in the clots defense. He was a very good in the dirt rusher at FSU. Should be cheap...

You know it's desperate times when you start scraping the bottom of the barrel of failed draft picks. But yes, I did the same thing though not with Werner.

Sam Acho.

I know he was linked to us before as a LEO. I believe he's still out there.

Acho could be an option as well. It's sad we're scraping the bottom of the trash heap for answers at LEO but unfortunately...it is what it is.
