Reach at our pick?

#1

Think if Kaep heads to the Browns then who do they pick?

With 2 QB's on the board when we select that could seriously limit our options. We might have to reach for a guy like VH3 or Lawson at 5.

Myles Jack would still be there. You shore up three levels of your defense. Line, with Marks and Fowler returning, along with Jackson, our current pieces and a draft pick. Lb, with Jack, Poz and Smith with Skuta depth. DB with Prince and Gipson to go along with Colvin, House Sample and Cyp, along with a draft pick.

There is one other option available that no one is considering. If we've narrowed our pick down to one guy and really have to have him we can always trade up. It may not be ideal but if Caldwell deems Ramsey, Jack, or Bosa and elite talent he may be willing to part with an extra pick or two.

My first thought when reading this was trade down, and get extra picks.  Someone will need/want the best QB on their board if there at pick 5.

So at worst it could be;

1. Tunsil

2. Bosa

3. Ramsey

4. Jack

If we're lucky maybe we can trade down a little and take maybe the pass rusher from Georgia

Lawson is starting to feel right to me at 5 if those other guys are gone. Im starting to like him more than Bosa actually. Better speed rusher, more production and a cleaner record.

I think Browns may grab a QB still if they feel Wentz or Goff can be a franchise guy. Have him redshirt behind Kaep and it'd help quite a bit. Kaep isn't the answer though.

Yes worse Case is Tunsil, Bosa, Ramsey, Jack. But at the same time something may happen with a QB in the top 5 which is usually the case wether it be a trade up browns take him. Hopefully the Jags can finally catch a break in the draft or Trade up and Just take the guy they love

I wonder if our worst case scenario happens:

1. Tunsil

2. Bosa

3. Ramsey

4. Jack

Then maybe we will consider Nkemdiche as a wild card. But I still don't believe our worst case scenarios will come true

The Browns should then try to trade down if they can get an offer that makes sense.

If they can't,  the best Front 7 Defensive player that fits their 3-4 Base system probably is how they should proceed.   DeForest Buckner might be the safest pick for them.

I feel like we're going to get Myles Jack or Hargreaves.

Worst case scenario would be that bosa, jack, ramsey, and tunsil are all gone by pick 5. I think that could really happen

Then what? Spence or Stanley or Hargreaves

I'm going to say that we do reach at 5 if no trade and the 4 top prospects are off the board. Emanuel Ogbah
