Jack Conklin in round 2..

#1

At 6-5 308 pounds.. From sparty country.. He ran a 5.00 40 time faster than laremy tunsil Ronnie stanley and bunch more.. If we land both Myles jack and jack Conklin.. I'll be happy.. Its possible if we get him.. That would obviously push joeckel more which I think this team needs..

As unpredictable as NFL Drafts can be,  at this point in time I would be shocked if Jack Conklin lasted to Round 2.   The question at least on this end is will Conklin even last beyond the middle of Round 1?

Considering our lack of pass rush, IDK how its obvious we'd go OL in round 2.

If Jack Conklin unexpectedly last to Round 2,   I think there's a good chance that during the day Friday before the start of Round 2,  some team trades up to the top pick of Round 2.   With the plan of drafting Conklin.

You should have more hope that Ryan Kelly will be at our pick in the 2nd round, over Conklin. Kelly is plug and play at Center, from day 1. Which is a much bigger need. Conklin would be sitting on the bench, as a 2nd round pick.

You made this thread a half hour after your "should we draft an Olinemen with our 2nd round pick" thread.

Good.

Well, it's good that he got his question answered right?

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Rd 2 is to early to be drafting offense. I expect this to be a defensive heavy Jaguars draft. 4th or 5th is earliest I see Jags going offense.

Totally agree. Our line will be better next year with Linder back and a full season of Cann with no Beadles.

We need pass rush and LB.

Jack and Ogbah is ideal.

I was going to start a thread titled "I should get something for lunch".

And 20 minutes later start another thread titled "I should get a sandwich for lunch"

Did you just quote a 40 time and only a 40 time as evidence for drafting an offensive tackle? Cmon now...

Although highly unlikely to happen, choosing between Ogbah and Conklin would be really tough. Conklin appears to be a guy that will be a solid player for 8-10 years. He also has the attitude you want in an offensive lineman and is a very good run blocker. Ogbah plays a position of greater need, but is not nearly as safe a pick. If the Jaguars do get Myles Jack in the first round, it would be hard to pass on Ogbah due to need, but I'm taking the BAP in Conklin. I'd play him at guard to start and move Linder to center. Now you have insurance for Joeckel in case he gets hurt or doesn't improve.
