So Rotoworld mentioned kicking Beachum inside to guard possibly?  I guess that would make sense if we can't draft a starting center and Linder or Cann moved to center.

I don't think RW saw the article where Beachum was pretty adamant multiple times that he wasn't going to go anywhere that he had to play guard. Obviously $$$ talks so maybe we offered enough to change his mind, but I fully expect he is going to stay at LT.

Quote:Jaguars sign LT Beachum away from Steelers

Kelvin Beachum | JAC

(March 15, 2016 5:27 PM EDT)

Jaguars signed OT Kelvin Beachum, formerly of the Steelers.

It's an interesting move for a team that has 2013 No. 2 overall pick Luke Joeckel on the blindside, and invested big money in RT Jermey Parnell last offseason. Beachum is recovering from a torn ACL, but will immediately pressure a disappointing Joeckel upon his return to full health. Joeckel was among the league's least effective left tackles last season, while Beachum did a strong job in Pittsburgh the past two years. It's also possible Beachum kicks inside to guard.

The jaguars have done a great job in free agency. Missed out on pass rushers but Rome wasn't built in a day.

FS, OL, RB, P, DT, and CB

Each one of the guys signed is a starting caliber player on almost any team in the league.

Nicely done.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Spot on. I think there were super high expectations considering our cap amount that we would go out and sign all of the top FAs. We missed on Vernon and Ayers which hurt but picked up some very good players.

Exactly ,its not often a team gets a haul like that in free agency. Bravo Caldwell and co.

100% agreed.

We were also extremely close to adding a premier pass rusher. Even though they missed on the pass rusher, it is encouraging that they identified a weakness and aren't done trying to fix it.

Now we just need a C, OTTO, SS and a 2nd LEO.

The contract.   Pretty revealing.   According to Espn, $4.5 million this year, with a 10 million roster bonus next year.

That's a prove-it, one-and-done deal.   Unless he's so good, we pay the roster bonus next offseason, or we renegotiate.

I am curious about the timeline, did he get out of JAX or turn  around in JIA and get a room.

Love the contract.

When they have no time,  they think about it!

When they go down hard, they think about it!

Just watch Peyton, Andrew, Caep even Mr. Bundchen.

The $10 million seems like almost a faux franchise tag if we can't come to a long term agreement.
