He's a monster when he wants to be. He's lazy.

 

That's my biggest concern. He self admitted he took plays off along with his other issues. Why would I want to use a 1st or 2nd round pick on a player like that?

 

 

 And this is BEFORE he signs an NFL contract that will have plenty of 0's.

I'm sure many on this forum would be ecstatic if we took Spence in the first round and Nkemdiche in the second. Tossing high draft picks out the window like that would certainly mean a new GM and coach in 2017.

I'd pass too in the 2nd. The value vs risk isn't there for our roster. He can't develop with veterans like he'd need to mature as a professional.


Pick up a MLB or FS who will see the field rather than a low snap count tackle prospect who has off the field issues.

Maybe if he would have come in and nailed the combine interviews and stuff, but all he did was look even worse if that was possible. 

 

He's still the prospect in this draft with the highest floor, about third level to be exact, but I'd pass easily at 38.

I was thinking his floor was more around the 28th level, but taking into account i have his ceiling level at level 14, it would bring his overall floor level to 17.58 . To be exact of course.

Good player. Don't need him. He's a 3 tech and we have Jackson and Marks. If we had a need there, it would probably be worth the risk in the 2nd. With the character issues in addition, I'd pass.

He would have to drop to the 3rd for me to draft him.  His mediocre performance at the combine along with his off field issues make me say let someone else take a chance.

Robert Nkemdechi is a monster. His character would have to be on a Johnny Manziel level for him to fall out of the top 10 IMO.

At this point in his career, he is a freak athlete with production issues in college + huge red flags off the field. We are in no position to take a chance on this guy.

For all the talent and athletic traits, his production was disappointing. Produced low tackle totals and just 6.5 sacks over three years. Never forced or recovered a fumble. Ducks head into initial off snap losing track of the ball. Tightly ­wound, straight-line athlete who needs play to stay inside his optimal area of movement. Inconsistent effort after his initial pass rush move is thwarted. Needs to develop a counter rush move. Was suspended for Sugar Bowl after being arrested and charged with marijuana a possession. Scouting community has serious concerns about his personal character and work ethic.

I would have to question anyone's true knowledge of football if they didn't think Robert was an elite college defensive lineman.

That question becomes even more relevant after that drug incident.   Who is this guy, does he really love football enough to play hard even after getting a bunch of money in his pocket?   Or will he have a substance abuse flame out like so many high Jaguar draft picks have before?

He did enough in college to be considered an elite level DT, and remind you of Clowney like talent.


Jalen Ramsey has 2 picks in three years, yet he's arguably the best player in the draft. Where is his production?


Cam Newton stole a laptop, Peyton Manning gave some girl The Gonzo, Tyrann Mathieu went to rehab, Greg Olson made a rap about scandalous acts in his dorm room, Randy Moss beat up some dude... The point is, you're not picking from a bunch of choir boys here.


His character is one thing, and will ultimately decide where his career ends up, but without that flaw, he'd be considered a top 10 pick in the draft.
