Tray Walker, a fourth-round draft pick of the Ravens in 2015, suffered critical injuries in a motorcycle accident on Thursday night in Miami.


According to NBC Miami, Walker was involved in a crash at Northwest 21st Avenue and Northwest 75th Steer. He was hospitalized in critical condition.


A rookie who appeared in eight games last season, Walker grew up in Miami and played football at Miami Northwestern High School. His high school teammates included Teddy Bridgewater and Amari Cooper.

Walker was heading westbound on Northwest 75th Street on a Honda dirt bike with no lights and wearing dark clothing when he collided with a Ford Escape heading southbound on Northwest 21st Avenue at approximately 7:50 p.m.," the release stated.

I ride motorcycles, actually I don't own a car, and if this is true, that was not smart. You're already harder to see on a bike. No lights and dark clothes?

Yup.  It's hard to avoid what you can't see.  Hopefully it's a lesson learned and he's able to fully recover.  Head injuries on motorcycles are never a good thing.

Yet another "what was he thinking" kind of thing.  Riding a dirt bike on a street with no lights (illegal) in the evening while wearing dark clothing?  I feel bad for him and his family, and my thoughts and prayers are certainly with them, but on the flip side, you can't fix stupid.

Feel so sorry for his family. They lost his father before he was drafted last year, and now lost him. He had his entire dream career and life in front of him, but it was all taken away because of a stupid mistake. For anyone that rides bikes, be safe and wear a helmet.
