Blake Bortles top QB from the last 3 Drafts!

Quote:Im just not sure why on the subject of Teddy, supporting cast all of a sudden becomes completely irrelevant. Hes a second year qb that ur asking to elevate a terrible offensive unit, its just unfair and seems like the same irrational bias i see from jags fans everywhere.

Just like yourself everyone has 1 thousand excuses for Mr. Bridgewater. I've never seen so many excuses for a QB. It's the Oline, AP, Offensive Coordinator and etc etc etc.

Quote:idk what he proved wrong. 16th ranked pass protection with one of the worst tackle pairs in the league doesnt go against anything i said lol, he still isnt getting protected. Its a combination of the oline and the receivers, his entire supporting cast isnt good. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to understand this its very simple.

His entire supporting cast? Again you're forgetting he has perhaps the best RB in the entire game on his side.

Besides, Stefon Diggs is a fantastic deep threat who is severely underutilized. If Bortles were in Minnesota, he'd be the next Allen Hurns taking fantasy football by storm.

Never seen anyone think as highly of a game managing QB as you do lol.  You think more highly of him than his own coaching staff lol.  As much as you like Teddy you must love Alex Smith

I said teddy is better than this board thinks he is, dont see what makes that so outstandingly high seeing as you guys all hate him.

We hate the guy because we say what he is?

I wouldn't be all that shocked if the Vikings drafted a QB this offseason.

Quote:Mariota is the real deal, he is going to be a thorn in our sides for a long time to come I'm afraid.  Actually if you consider it, if Osweiler is as good as the tinhorns think he is, the AFC South may become the new Quarterback Central of the NFL.  I personally don't think he'll be that good but still, Bortles, Luck, Mariota are definitely a power three.
Mariota only if he stays healthy. We will see....

Brockweiler... well we'll see. When he first stepped in for Manning he looked real good but, he wasn't a sure-thing, otherwise Elway would have paid him.

BoB has been so good with QBs so far... let's see.

Do we win more games last year with Teddy? Do the Vikings win less with Bortles?

I bet the Vikings win more with Blake and the Jags lose more with Teddy. People are underestimating the run game. Teddy had teams stacking the box to stop AP but Blake had zero run game and a trash defense. Those 2 things normally lead to awful seasons from young QBs but Blake was an animal.

I haven't read this thread since page 1. There's an argument for Teddy B over Bortles? We finally have a Favre-esque QB and some are arguing for that boring dink and dunk type of play that we had the last 12 years?

Whereas Teddy had a stout D and AP.

TBF to Teddy Stefon Diggs as your #1 WR doesn't help, imo.

The Vikes can win with Teddy. And I don't know if they win that playoff game even with Bortles...

But for the long term, I like our situation a heckuva lot more

Quote:Remember that 80 yard TD to Hurns at the start of the 3rd quarter of the second colts game last year? If mariota or bridgewater even attempt that pass (and in mariota's case I doubt he would, guy is scared to throw anywhere except short over the middle of the field) it would have been a pick.

It's tough to replace arm talent, and since Bortles has arm talent and a winning QB's mind and attitude he's going to continue outshining all of the guys taken the last few years.

Why doesn't anyone point out the obvious. Blake has the physical conditioning to remain standing and in the league. years ago i was all for Mariota to come here if possible for his insane accuracy... but the more i watched him the more I saw the reality, he, as well as most of the other QB's mentioned are far more at risk for injury than Bortles.. Blake is gonna be with the team, playing for a long time. I just can't see these smaller and less conditioned QB's having the same career length as BB5. I don't really care if another QB is more accurate or is more of a game manager. What i want is to see my QB get smashed on the blind side by a probowl DE and get up laughing.

Wait a minute...

Someone in this thread would rather have Bridgewater than Bortles? Yikes..
