I expect the Jags to go linebacker/edge rusher or edge rusher/linebacker in the first two rounds of the draft, it makes sense considering these are the only defensive positions that weren't upgraded in free agency.


If Myles Jack is available at 5 I think he's the pick, given the fact that he's a generational talent at the linebacker position. If Jack is the selection at 5 I see Dave targeting a guy like Shalique Calhoun in the 2nd, possibly even trading up to get "their guy". With that said would you rather have a combination of Jack/Calhoun? or Bosa (Lawson) & Deion Jones?

Deion Jones is a weakside LB, the same spot as Telvin Smith.  I'm not sure Jones would be suited for the other two spots  Therefore, I would not choose that option.

This would be awesome but I think it's unrealistic, I don't see Lawson getting out of the top 10-12 picks, and Spence will probably go 15-22.

Calhoun has been compared to Branch. If they take Jack in the first, there should be better options than him in the 2nd. I would also try to trade up for Spence as he could make it til the end of the first. Jaguars wouldn't have to give up too much to get him (maybe their 2nd, 4th and one of their round 6 picks).

Seeing more and more mocks with Spence falling. My absolute best case scenario is Jack in the 1st and Spence after (whether by trade up or praying he lasts to the 2nd). I would be all for Dave trading our 2nd, 4th, and even a 6th (if need be) to move up to get Spence. Dave could get an interior OL in the 3rd and go BAP the rest of the way. This defense would be good enough to get us to the playoffs...

We would be greatly improved on 3rd downs with Marks and Jackson pushing up the middle, Fowler and Spence on the ends, Jack and Telvin covering the middle, and Colvin moving to the NB spot to round out a drastically improved secondary.
