They are cleaning house.
@mikegarafolo Eagles expected to sign OL Stefen Wisniewski this morning, source says. Heads to Philly as guard after one year with the Jaguars as center.

Jags sign OL Tanner Hawkinson

Quote:Chris Clemons back to the Seahawks. Is it so that he can retire as a SeaHawk? I mean he showed a few flashes last season like the FG block, but might have been bitter because of Fowler Jr being drafted? As a depth rotation at Leo he might still do some things this year in Seattle.
Quote:Seems not a lot of teams were interested in his snapping prowess....I dunno I thought the Jaguars were going to resign him as depth if nothing else... oh well..
Jaguars signed LT Beachum to replace Luke Joeckel, signed Mackenzy Bernadeau to replace Zane Beadles at LG, allowing them to move Linder to Center and keep Cann at RG, and keeping Parnell at RT.
Do you think that the Jaguars might draft a center or LT? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

10.The draft will be defense-heavy. OK, this isn’t exactly news, but Caldwell emphasized it when speaking to the media Thursday. “We have eight draft picks, and as you guys all know, we’ll probably devote a large portion of those to the defensive side of the ball,” Caldwell said
It seems that HC Gus Bradley wasn't joking when he said Linder will play center, oh boy.. going to be a long season.
Quote:yes, a C or GI hope they get a center because I have concerns about Linder playing it, (was injured two years in a row at guard).

IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

Gerhart still a FA. Looks like his career could be over after the stint he had with the Jags
Pot Roast's contract with the New England Patriots apparently has much less value than previously reported:

As a depth rotation at Leo he might still do some things this year in Seattle. I think we'll bring Clemons in to compete in training camp with no guarantee to make final roster. I don't know if he still has something left in the tank but if anyone can get that out of him is Pete Carroll. It's similar situation to that of 32 year old Raheem Brock in 2010 when he had career high 9 sacks in Carroll's first season in Seattle used primarily as a 3rd down specialist. Of course we have a lot better team now but could still use more depth at DE. He knows the system but I believe he'll really have to impress coaches to make the team over some younger players (rookies) with higher upside. Also, I've read some rumours that he had problems with teammates and media in Jacksonville. Is that true? I don't remember anything like that from his time in Seattle. I don't remember anything like that from his time in Seattle. I've not heard of any problems regarding his teammates. There were some fan grumblings when he was basically the only player to not show up for OTAs, but he never showed up for them in Seattle either.
