Quote:I am convinced there is no need to trade up for Jack.  I don't think San Diego or Dallas are the spots for him.  While neither are perfect at LB, both are good enough to bypass Jack.

San Diego is not a scheme fit for him, and I don't think they like him enough at S to make him the 3rd overall pick.

Dallas is a scheme fit for him, but that is a team that has traditionally de-emphasized LB in the higher rounds of the draft.  Besides, they could conceivably use a QB and could definitely use another DE before taking Jack.

Jags view him as a SS as well I believe. I think if the Browns take a QB, its going to open up one of those defensive guys for the Jags. I would love Jack or Bosa, while I love Ramsey, its going to be tough to see him being the pick. Not only are the Jags set a Free Safety  but Ramsey is not making it to 5. Gipson is a top safety and the Jags probably felt Ramsey was not making it to 5 so they went ahead and got that need out of the way.

I think if hes there at 5, jags are taking Joey Bosa. Jags have a major pass rush problem and it did not get better in free agency. We actually got worse. Bosa does not look like Dante Fowler, but Jags love him and view him as a LEO. He could be a Justin Tuck/JJ Watt type of player. I have come around to Bosa and actually, hes probably number 1 on my board.

If we get screwed at 5 with Ramsey, Jack and Bosa off the board, trade down.

Quote:Jack frees up a lot of options like moving cyp to lb, skuta to leo, and just the fact he is a fast hybrid player that's 20 years old.

.........not sure what Jack has to do with cyp moving to lb.
