Daniel Jeremiah believes doesn't believe Myles Jack will be available at 5

#1

I was watching NFL mock draft live the other day and at the end of show, DJ made an interesting comment in terms of Jacks availability at 5. He said the Jack's bandwagon is gaining big time steam around the league and he'd be willing to "bet" Jack will be off the board before the 5th pick. DJ is well connected around the league and is usually pretty accurate in his predictions. It's obviously lying season but (Imo) Myles Jack is the best player in this draft while also possessing the highest ceiling of any player in this draft, he has legitimate hall of fame/all time great upside at the linebacker position so this "revelation" doesn't surprise me. It's obviously not "Jack or bust", but man it'd be nice to get a guy that feels a need that also has generational talent, draft day needs to get here!

It sucks, but I don't see who would really take him tbh ahead of us outside of DAL. Unless Ramsey is off the board in the top 2 I'm fairly certain SD goes that route, and if not Buckner seems to be high on their list and would fit that 3-4 defense perfectly. Seems like the Browns are a good bet to go QB by most everyone, although not a certainty. TEN grabs Tunsil unless a trade back in which a QB would go off the board as I doubt anyone gives up what is needed for any other position.

It's really Dallas or bust, I wouldn't say that's bad odds. At worst, one of Ramsey/Jack/Bosa should definitely be there if that's our top 3 guys. We'll be fine.

This has been my thought process all along, but what if Jack is rated ahead of Ramsey on their draft board? San Diego needs help at every level of their defense so it wouldn't be a big surprise to me if they pulled the trigger on Jack. They also (according to Jack himself) view Myles as hybrid S/LB, Tom Telesco (San Diego's GM) is a big fan of versatile players, I think their decision will come down to Jack/Ramsey.

He's going 1 or 2 because he's the faster version of Ray Lewis.

Guess we are stuck with Bosa. Chhhammmmmppiioonnshhiipppp, or worse, Vernon Hargraves, yuck

Cleveland is a wildcard if they don't go QB, but I'd think Ramsey would be their top choice if they decide to go that route. Especially with Gipson walking and Haden being their only long term option at corner.

If a QB doesn't go top 4 the Jags could very easily be looking at VHIII or Lawson.

Really hoping Cleveland takes Wentz/Goff

It's possible, but I think Ramsey or Buckner is a greater possibility then Jack. A DL or shutdown corner versus a very talented LB/SS? Ramsey is just as versitile of a player in the back end too as he can play everywhere and Excell too. Don't forget just how high this board was on him before we got Gipson. It was pretty much Ramsey or bust in everyones minds.

I still don't see SD as a landing spot for Jack.

1.  They have invested heavily at LB over the past few years.

2.  Jack does not fit the mold of a strong side OLB in a 3-4.

3.  If SD truly sees him as a SS, I can't seem them taking a SS at 3 overall.

4.  SD has much bigger needs along the OL and DL.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

The draft "experts" have had daily shows about the draft for about 2 months now. They deliberately change their predictions to keep interest. Jeremiah is one of the most knowledgeable, but I don't believe what he said about Jack. When all is said and done, the draft will follow the overall consensus which is:

1. Tunsil

2. Wentz

3. Ramsay

4. Bosa

5. Jac

It is possible that the Chargers take Buckner. I still think the Cowboys take Bosa, but regardless the Jaguars will have at least 1 of the top 3 available. Jack certainly has great potential, but let's not compare him to Ray Lewis quite yet. If he isn't available, I'll be very happy with Ramsay or Bosa.

Bosa might be my 3rd or 4th choice.

I think he could be a good player for us.

I question whether he can be GREAT.

Boselli is kind of lukewarm on him too.

I agree that this is just to make things sound interesting. There WILL be a QB in the top 5 taken. I'm absolutely convinced that the locks for top 5 are 1QB, Ramsey, Tunsil. Bosa and Jack are interchangeable, either could go before the other. Jack will be available for us, Boys need a pass rusher, QB, or fill their permiscuois desire for Eilliot. Jack won't help them. Jack is our pick I'm absolutely convinced

I agree, I think Dallas take Jack.  I would be more than happy with Bosa though

Jack may very well be the best player in the draft. I don't see 4 teams passing on him

Thinking that the pick will be either Bosa or VHIII

Guessing Ramsey and Jack are off the board

If Jack and Ramsey are off the board, I think we take Buckner.

I think Dallas goes Bosa to be honest.

They need pass rush badly.
