Quote:Once signed by another team, this player will be feared by the OP. He will question the Jags on their decision to let go of the player and follow up with some incomprehensible tirade of babble about how good this player really was,but the team just blew it.

I should be the madam cleo of this message board. I already know what half of these clowns will do before they even think of it.
Or that is what they do every year.

But anyway great one. Dakota

I guess we don't have to listen to that stupid Ric Flair thing. Thank heaven he didn't do one every time he missed a tackle

Quote:A horrible signing by Dave.

Well, it is pretty obvious he didn't work out, but not quite sure why it was a horrible signing. We paid the guy 2 Mil, the guaranteed money was up front (all 250K of it), and we took a flyer on a young player at a position of need. We have no dead money, and we parted ways. Big deal.

The bad choice by our GM to fix the Free Safety role.. hopefully Gipson gets it done this year... drafting Jalen Ramsey would be nice insurance though.

Best of luck to Sergio else where. He's not a great player, yet probably a fun teammate to be around.

Let's use a little thought here.

Sergio Brown wasn't a terrible signing.  He was what was available to upgrade the position.  Notice... he was the starter... which means the other options ON THE ROSTER were worse.

He wasn't signed to a Big Money Long Term deal as if he was the saving grace at the position.  He was just a minor upgrade.  Now, he's no longer needed, and thus, was released.

He did what he was brought in to do.  Fill the position until we could upgrade it further.  No one really expected him to come in and  be a Pro Bowl Safety.  He was just a guy on the 53 who happened to be better than the other guys at his position.  Nothing wrong w/ that at all.

Some people act like every free agent needs to be a world beater to not denigrate the choice.

Free agency was meant to plug holes not save the ship.

Around here you will find a lot of those "some people" you speak of.
You either die as a good poster, or live long enough to become the troll.
