I don't know who you are or what you are talking about regarding Bortles. I was simply referring to the obscene amount of commas you used in the post I quoted.

Quote:We are using the gray matter.  That holds true for seasons 1 and 2 under Gus.  Last year was multiple games handed over on a platter and the staff did zip with the opportunities.  Every year is a new opportunity.  We will see.  I'm backing off the adjustments deal after watching the playoffs last year.  Talented coaching staffs had no answer or adjustments to make and that was odd to witness.

You say that's a pass for years 1 and 2, yet cite the number of games we've lost in a three year period.. so which is it? Does he get a pass only when it's convenient to your arguement? As for last year.... Yes, the offense showed vast improvement while our defense, because of injuries, a lack of skilled players and rookies making the mistakes that rookies make couldn't stop our opponents from converting is what caused us to lose the games we lost. Dave and Co. are focusing on fixing that this pre-season.  I still don't see where that's any one particular person's fault... But go ahead and play the blame game... It's what y'all do best.

The Jags have a lot to prove. If Bradley does not produce a winning season I believe he is gone. A lot is on the line for the Jags, if they are going to take the next step they have to beat the good teams. Time to put up, or shut up.

I had a very low bar for last year.  When teams were down to street free agents playing QB, yeah I blame the coaching staff.  Seriously go ahead and make excuses for his tenure.  He has this year and an extension as well.  I'm not doing the hiring/firing.  What I do best is watch football and hope for better days.

It doesn't matter who the quarterback is if you can't get to him.

The Cowboys writer think they will go 10-6 LOLz

All in all only 8 writers predicted a losing record.

The Lions think they will be 8-8 LOLz

Only two predicted a season under 7 wins. (49ers & Browns)

The perception and the reality can be two very different things. And I'm hoping it is. Truth is, no one knows how this or any other team is going to do until we start playing games. Speculation doesn't mean jack.

Quote:We will never be america's team because they wont let go of the fact that this small city has a NFL franchise like we're the mistake by the lake. For Christ's sake we can't get a prime time game and this is our best momentum in the last 6 years.

Don't worry, after we win a few Superbowls they'll have story after story about how we're in decline and will probably move to Sacramento any day now or something.

I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

I still fail to see where any one person predicted the Jags to be a 3-13 team.

Did anyone from this actually predict the Jags' record from Jacksonville's schedule alone? Idk.

Or, was it that only 3 of the 13 teams that happen to have Jax on its schedule predicted that they would record a loss from Jax?

I think seldomright saw that espn's beat writers for the division have collectively projected the jags as going .500 within our division (three wins, three losses against our division opponents) and just sucks at logic/math. Or else he is just trolling. Either way this is a terrible and stupid thread that should have locked some time ago.

I can barely bring myself to switch it on to Monday night football because the commentary is second worst to cris collinsworth, much less, to read that nonsense.
You either die as a good poster, or live long enough to become the troll.

You guys really should just go back to the start of the thread and read my post. If you still don't understand after that some remedial English might be in order.

Quote:It's always interesting to see not only how those familiar with the team, like Dirocco and Prisco, but also those that aren't particularly familiar with the team feel about the upcoming Jaguars season.

Going by the predictions on ESPN's NFL nation blogs where each team's writer predicts wins and losses for their team on the season only three opponents see the Jaguars as getting a win against the team they write for. Kuharsky, who covers the titans thinks the Jaguars will split with a team that earned the #1 draft slot, Jeff Legwold, who covers the broncos, thinks the Jaguars will be a classic sneak up and steal a win trap game, and Paul Gutierrez, who covers the raiders thinks the Jaguars can win against the Raiders, probably because the two teams pay some attention to each other due to both having ascending young QBs from the same draft.

The sad thing is they're probably not far off in their beliefs. Sure the Jaguars will probably win more than 3 games, because it's hard to lose 13 times in the NFL if you're even close to competent and trying just because of the way the season can play out when it comes to opponent injuries and such, but the Jaguars are still seen as a bunch of clowns with an ice cream scooping sprinkles slinging head coach when it comes down to it.

Yeah whatever.. Gossip..

Quote:If the defense is improved like it should be, an idiot could go 8-8 to 9-7 with this team. Especially with that schedule.

Gus is an idiot...so we will see

Notice at 52 secs both announcers agree that the Offense isn't the problem with Jaguars..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dhem6rEYcFg

This team needs either Josh Norman or Jalen Ramsey / Vernon Hargreaves III / Eli Apple some really good corner in order to be good this year... otherwise they are going to continue to get killed in the passing game.. sure tashaun gipson helps out a lot along with M. Jackson & healthy Fowler & Marks back to the line along with Odrick and Miller ... having Prince & House is great but they still could use one more good corner (IMO)
