***Official pre-draft Caldwell presser***

Quote:Maybe Jaylon Smith... I promise, this is the player that came to mind. Ramsey, Jack, Bosa, Tunsil, and Buckner would all step in and play right away. The best LB in the draft is Jaylon Smith. He's just injured. So it would be like having 2 first rounds picks next season. Not sure if I like this idea though. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
There's zero chance they're taking Jaylon Smith with the third overall pick in the draft.

Quote:"The guy we take may not be the best fit for this year, but will be a foundation player for us for 10-12 years" - Dave Seems like he's talking about Jack here. They want to draft him but ease him into the game because of his knee.
If Jaylon got drafted at 5 then obviously something was pretty well hidden about his medical evaluation.
I just don't see how some of you are like I hope we don't take this player or that one. We are picking at 5 and are going to draft a talented player. We need more talent everywhere. I don't care if it's on the O-LIne, D-Line, whatever. I'll be happy with whoever we take because I know they will add more talent and skill to our team who still needs quite a bit.
If they draft Tunsil I'm gonna throw my shoe at whoever is at Everbank MC-Ing the event

People complain about drafting Tunsil, but these same people complain about Joekel the entire year. Beachum is coming off a torn ACL, we could do worse than taking Tunsil.
Quote:I agree. But with the 5th pick... Ha, good catch. With those first two picks already decided, I keep thinking of our pick as the third pick.
I have no desire to watch guys like Fitzpatrick and Hoyer sit back and pick us apart.
Anyone who is content with Tunsil forgets that Luke was the same guy coming out.

Quote:I have no desire to watch guys like Fitzpatrick and Hoyer sit back and pick us apart. I came back to this thread because I thought again about what Dave said and Tunsil came to mind. I wondered if others took the same thing away. But then I'm thinkin', there's no way they don't go defense with the 1st pick. Right?

Quote:If they draft Tunsil I'm gonna throw my shoe at whoever is at Everbank MC-Ing the event Idk man I'm starting to come around to the idea of drafting Tunsil. Beachum is no guarantee, & Joeckel sucks at tackle. Having a good LT for 10-15 years while Bortles is around might totally be worth it. I still think they draft defense with the 5 pick though.
