Jeff Driskel in the late rounds?

He's had a good year for Louisiana Tech and could be had in probably the 6th round. Is a good friend of Blake Bortles and has asked Bortles for advice in the past. Could be the 3rd QB year one then take over as back-up in 2017.

No.

I know he had a nice year at Louisiana Tech, but my memories of him are truly awful ones of his time in Gainesville.

Prefer Dak Prescott late round, to be honest. Gator fan here as well, can't get over his time in Gainesville!

I think Prescott will be gone by the end of the 3rd round. You can get a good day one starter in the third. Taking a flyer in the 6th (we've got 2 6ths) on a guy that bounced back really well last year and wants to learn from Blake would be completely different imo.

Wasn't he on the radio saying he'll be drafted in the 2nd round?

I've heard and read multiple times that Driskel will be gone by the 3rd round.

I'd rather bring in Jamarcus Russell for a look during camp. He'll play for free.

Maybe we could get Will Muschamp as head coach too.

Jags aren't drafting a QB anywhere this year.

They should.

He's better than Treon.

Joking aside, if we were still in the Henne era, I'd say yes to picking him up in the 6th.  With Bortles and numerous holes, I'd rather Caldwell use his good judgement in getting a potential starter (aka needle in the haystack) in the late rounds.

Why?  So we can have the next loser-type Landry Jones (4th round pick) hanging out on the bench getting water for our version of Big Ben

As opposed to constantly signing a proven loser-type from another team?

No, they should not draft a QB. Teams usually only carry 2 QBs, one being a young QB and one being a veteran. We already have both of those. A rookie QB would be absolutely useless to us.

this year? Why? All the needs to shore up, QB isn't one.
