We like this idea only if the Cowboys and the Chargers both don't take Bosa / Jack / Ramsey.  This does not seem likely to me.  Basically the first four picks would all be offense.  That happened in 2012, but it is unusual.

My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

I think SD goes either LT or Ramsey. Dallas will go either Elliot, Bosa, or Buckner. So, we still have great choices available and possible trade back offers. Cannot wait till tomorrow evening. I'm seriously thinking about taking tomorrow off and sleeping the whole day to get there faster lol

49'ers would be the best trade partner. If the Jags move back to pick 7, I'd roll the dice and sign Jack. They can then use the extra 3rd to move up for the best pass rusher- hopefully Spence.

The current line of thinking is that if the Jags do trade down its because they don't like the guys currently on the board or they have someone else in mind outside of Jack/Bosa/Ramsey.

   If Chip Kelly values DeForest Buckner anywhere near how he values Marcus Mariota and if Kelly has substantial clout in the 49ers draft room,  things could get very interesting during the early part of the draft.    It would then be safe to assume the 49ers would be willing to substantially overpay ( from a consensus perspective ) to trade up for Buckner.

haha I'm not too sure if the Chip Kelly connection has anything to do with it, Kelly works for a dictatorial GM in Trent Baalke, Baalke has shown he can give a rats [BAD WORD REMOVED] on what his coaches think.

 

 Yet,  if Chip Kelly doesn't put up tangible results by his 2nd season with the 49ers,  both the HC AND the GM will probably be shown the door.

They take Buckner and either Bosa, Jack is guaranteed to be there at 7.

We only gave up a fourth in 2012 to move from seven to five for Blackmon. I suspect compensation here would be similar, as it's not a QB being traded up for.
