The Cowboys knew who they wanted. Jerry Jones said a few days ago he was not going to trade the #4 pick. I guess the Ravens did not listen to him.

Teams could tell you that they will draft ____ doesn't make them bound to that... plus that would put them after the Jaguars slot & maybe a team trades up with Jaguars and takes Elliott...

point is if you did the work on a guy & you really want him bad you take him and dont pass on it.

I also wonder how true it is because they took almost their entire time before making the pick.. which makes me think they wanted a great trade offer IMO

Why would the Rams give up the farm to Tennessee for Jared Goff, then spend almost 10 minutes trying to trade down?

They didn't.

Yeah thanks Jerry for doing your best Al Davis impression.  Allowed us to get one of the best players in the draft.

I simply can't understand Dallas not wanting to move.  It was only to 6, and nobody else was coming up for their RB.

Nobody knows that. There are rumors Miami coveted him. Not worth the risk if your guy is there.

Just seems silly to grab a RB at 4th overall.  I honestly thought they'd go after Buckner since that's just as big of a need as RB except it's a way more valuable position.

Not really. Look at most of the teams in the playoffs. They all had a strong running game. Romo aint getting any younger so with Zeke who is a great runner and behind that line? Sheesh. Emmitt Smith 2.0.

Likely not the house but some teams were interested enough clearly. If there is talk of teams trading to 8 what's to stop someone from trading to 5 to get him before Dallas at 6?

If a guy is your guy you take him no matter what.

How many of those RBs in the playoffs were top 5 picks?  How many were even first round picks?  Having a strong running game doesn't mean drafting a RB ridiculously high.

ahahaha true. Go easy on the Dallas fan though.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."
