Jaguars UDFAs

Jags should give Cash a shot, beat out Jalen Ramsey for ACC DPOY. He could really be a guy to come in and push Cyp.

LEONARD FOURNETTE FAN CLUB PRESIDENT. I WAS BEHIND HIM WHEN YOU ALL SAID HE WAS BRANDON JACOBS. QUIT HATING ON THE JAGUARS. GUS IS GONE. COUGHLIN HAS RESTORED ORDER. FOURNETTE IS FRED TAYLOR. DONT BELIEVE ME JUST WATCH.

I think we all felt that after the quality of this draft UDFA's were not going to be a problem.

It is going to be rough cutting the roster down to 53 plus PSquad.

When they have no time,  they think about it!

When they go down hard, they think about it!

Just watch Peyton, Andrew, Caep even Mr. Bundchen.

For the first time in a long time, I think the Jaguars will not be very active in next year's free agency period...and that would be a good thing.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

It depends on how many players are in the final year of their contracts.

It's a good thing because next years FA is horrible. That is one lackluster class of players.

I'm pretty sure he means signing other teams guys and not our own.

I expect our focus to turn to signing our own guys more and less other big money free agents.

That is where well run teams strive to attain.

I am with you, we might cherry pick but I don't see a lot of activity.

We will have a good feel for this by mid season.

Wow. I actually called this one in my thread of "guys to keep an eye on after round 1"

Love this pick up.

That will start with giving Blake the fifth year option, right? This will be his third season.

If Bortles makes another huge leap this year you start talking about a 5 year extension.

You talk about it sure, but it's smart business to stretch that rookie contract for as loooooooong as you can. And I believe they will.

I don't, their MO is to front load a deal with easy out options. I think they'll give him 3 guaranteed in a fiver that's cap friendly in a few years.

That begins with exercising the fifth year option, which gives us more time to negotiate a contract extension.

Back to UDFAs, who do you think is most likely to make the team?

I, for one, am sick of David Caldwell ignoring the defensive end position. It's like he's not even trying to find edge rushers. Tongue

The more I read about the Kicker, the more intrigued I am by him. I'm one of Jason Myers' biggest supporters, but he's definitely got his work cut out for him if he's to keep Oberkrom at bay.

If Okberkrom struggles with chips shots and PATs, I don't know if the training camp competition will really help Myers. How accurate is he from 33 yards out?
