Do we now have the two fastest LBs in the league?

Drafting both Jalen Ramsey and Myles Jack is the most bizarre thing in the history of the franchise.   I am having a hard time wrapping my mind around this.   Did this really happen?

Wow.  Sometimes, the ball just bounces your way.

One of the best moments last night was when we traded up with Baltimore and right after the Chargers pick they showed us our war room and Caldwell, Bradley, Khan they were all hugs and smiles and crazily happy you could feel something special was coming.

That was the moment I felt we were really going to draft him and wow when the pick was announced it was just so good!

This is it.

After all that bad luck over the last 8-9 years, we're finally starting to catch the breaks and getting paid.

Watching Caldwell's press conference. They really wanted Jack. Thought about jumping back up into the first on day one for him but held off because he didn't want to trade away the fourth rounder. I love how they have guys they want but don't give up the house on them (remember some of the old Jags draft trades when we gave up the house?).

He also confirmed Jack was top 5 for us, we'd have wanted him in the mid-teens if we managed to trade down. Bucker, Ramsey and Bosa where above him on the board but that's about it.

UCLA Coach Jim Mora, who along with several other top college coaches attended the first round as guests of the NFL, said Jacksonville got "the steal of the draft" in Jack.

"He's one of the top three athletes I've ever worked with, the other two being Michael Vick and Julius Peppers," Mora said. "He's in that category. I believe he could be an All-Pro running back, an All-Pro safety or an All-Pro linebacker. When you look at the things we did with him, it confirms that."

Yes it really showed.

Am I wrong or Caldwell was particularly emotional about him? Even during the call he made to Jack to announce him he was selected.

And also in the press conference when he said he was horrible watching him fall during the first round knowing how a great kid the guy is, he was genuinely sorry for him and said that it felt so wrong not seeing him getting drafted.

Caldwell looked genuinely emotional about him

I think he was sad that they couldn't pick him earlier because they felt like he deserved to go much earlier than he did. We couldn't possibly pass up Ramsey though.

I think his presser starts in a couple of minutes.  It's live on Jaguars.com

  • "I have the best picks!"

  • "We're going to build him a new knee, and we're going to make the Colts pay for it!"

The Jaguars are gonna do so much winning, you're gonna get sick of all the winning

Still shaking my head that we got Ramsey *and* Jack.  Who'da thunk it?

I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Jack was already my favourite player in this draft and looking back at his highlights again is just awesome.

Here his interception against Kansas City: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KSuvJEtLJo

Go at 3.17 and then watch the replay, is just amazing how he follows the receiver, covers it, grabs the ball and with incredible burst he's already on the other side of the field.

And this other one is another good exemple:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_pR3vOaBy0 (Go at 3:10 for the interception), here there's a poor throw by the QB but again his speed is amazing once he catches the ball, he could have taken it to TD but decides to slide out to end the game.

This is going to be fun watching him play, considering we already have a ball hawk in Gipson and hopefully Ramsey too

His ability with the ball in his hands after a turnover will be amazing to watch!

The guy was a very good running back for UCLA, I feel bad for offensive players trying to bring him down.
