What was plan B?

We'll probably never know, but if the Cowboys had taken Ramsey and someone ahead of us had taken a chance on Jack, then I wonder what our first two picks would have been.

My guess is probably Buckner (Tunsil ruled himself out of the pick) and maybe Spence in the second.

Let's not think about this, it's still like a dream everything we have done over the draft and FA

I think we would have traded down in the first and took Jack. And then took yannick in the second.

Buckner was the pick if we couldn't trade down and Ramsey wasn't there.

I believe it was Buckner from what I've heard Dave say.

I think we would of traded back in the first with a team that wanted Elliot and took Spence and Yannick in the 2nd. If Miami was the team we draded with I think we would of took Lawson or Tunsil in the 1st

That's what I understood from Dave's comments as well. Their top 3 were Ramsey, Bosa, and Buckner. Jack was their 4th but only in a trade back scenario. If both Ramsey and Bosa would've gone before the Jags were on the clock then they would've taken Buckner if unable to trade back for Jack. In round two they would have taken Yannick and in round three there was an unnamed linebacker they were targeting.

We got the most unlikely but best scenario to happen for us.

So unlikely ,I owe Jerry Jones a pint or two if I ever see him.

Just a pint? More like a gallon.

Speaking of Jerry Jones, I read he is still mad at himself for not "overpaying" to jump over Denver for Paxton Lynch. He never wanted Myles Jack.

Obviously he didn't want Jack or he would have drafted him instead of Jaylon.

From what ive heard from Dave was trade down or take Floyd. Not Buckner.

I wonder why he wanted Jaylon instead of Myles. The Cowboys are in win-now mode.

Plan B -- quick call to Cleveland telling them to make the Jags any offer.

Gotta go with the percentages that the Browns would have done something stupid.

The Browns did something stupid anyway with their #32 pick.

Who knows but I'll play along I think if Bosa, Ramsey were off the board the Jaguars would trade back & get Floyd.

Plan B was to draft the next good player.

Actually, Dave said that he had Yannick targeted for the 2nd round, but skipped him when Jack fell to the 2nd round.   Then Yannick fell to the 3rd round so he took him.   But the original play was definitely to take Yannick in the 2nd round.
