How fast is Myles Jack exactly?  I mean he said his knee was only 80% ready and therefore he didn't run the 40 at his workout.

Currently at 6'1" 243lbs he is the same height and only 7 lbs less than Ray Lewis.  Ray Lewis ran a 4.58-second 40-yard dash at his pro day back in 1996, and many feel that Myles Jack is a lot faster.  WoW!

Skuta might not be replaced by Jack right away. Skuta also will be getting some snaps at LEO and his 3.6 mil salary isn't a concern.

I imagine Skuts and Poz are in their last years of Jags uni's this year.

But no reason to cut bait with either of them yet. Especially with the uncertainty surrounding Jack's knee.

This is why we drafted Jack: there was a huge hole at the Sam position. With him on the roster, we can demote Skuta and cut Armbrister.

It was hard to watch Skuta last year knowing all the money that they had given him and he was bad against the run, and I don't remember doing any kind of pass rush - so not sure why he's being considered as a LEO when his coverage wasn't great either...

I highly doubt that Skuta will be cut, because of the guaranteed money but he certainty won't be starting in any role... unless he comes out and just shocks us all in preseason or something..

 

I really like Poz on and off the field, but he is getting old & has been thru a few injuries each year for the last few.  I expect him to start & play most of the entire season but the team could use good depth at MLB this year and going fwd.

 

I think that MLB might be an area of interest in next year's draft (especially if Poz starts to talk about retirement).
