Trump Can't Win

Quote:Who cares?  The question is, who is Hillary going to select as VP?

It wouldn't shock me if she picked Bernie Sanders to get the young vote, and to stop him from possibly running as an independent.

She might go with VP Joe Biden whom helped Obama win 8 years as President.

It might be O'Malley (MD) whom dropped out of the race, early..

but...

I already know who she is picking...

Virginia Governor (and best friend of the Clinton's whom bought them a house when they were struggling for money)...

Terry McAuliffe

He recently declared that all felons in VA can now vote, ensuring that Hilary Clinton will win the state..

TBH it's about time felons who served their time and parole had their right to vote restored.  If you've paid your debt to society, why should't you be allowed to vote?

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

That's a good topic for discussion.  I would suggest it get it's own thread.  I'm too lazy right now.

Quote:I think the Donald has been paying very close attention to poll data (like he does with Market research with his businesses) and probably wanted people talking about who he should pick so he could see whom would be the most favorable person to go with according to the public.

That's The Donald we know and love, wet-tipped finger in the air, checking direction.

Quote:Yeah, that's why Bill was a two term President.

Which states will The Donald turn from blue to red? And you think New York billionaire Donald is in touch with reality? When did that happen?

I have no horse in this race.  Maybe that's why I see it so clearly.

Trump's reality is that we shouldn't bring refugees here with no way to vet them.  Common sense.  Do you let people into your home with no scrutiny at all?  Me neither.   The wall?  Already passed by Congress; it's the law of the land.  And it's going to be a great wall, a very high wall, hard to climb, and Mexico is going to pay for it.  Foreign policy?  Why are we paying for South Korea's national security?  We protect and patrol THEIR border, but not ours.  How about Japan?  Shouldn't they pay for their own national defense?  If not, why not?  I could go on.

I always find it humorous when people think Mexico is going to pay for the wall.  Equally funny is the idea that people won't just get ladders.

Now that his opponents are gone...The Don can speak more freely. Minimum wage goes up, deportation will happen ( regardless of cost ), but the "good ones" can come back. This is great..hell , the libs shuld love this, he's more liberal than Hillary

Sad part is, so many put this wall on their priority list, as though its the most important issue facing the nation.

Maybe I'm a bit slow and uninformed, but the illegal immigration wouldnt be as bad if there was nothing  to be gained from it..mainly jobs. This issues has more than a double edged sword to it; one being many employers ( farming, etc ) depend on these workers and claim they will go under without them..yet illegal is illegal and laws should prevail.

That would be nice...have you viewed any programs ( 60 min, VICE, CNN, Fox) where theyve tried this? Most good ole American "workers? dont want to do this. The ones that do, many are sorry workers...then theres the pay where we can start another debate on raising the pay, making the jobs more attractive but raising the price of your "mater and melons
Many "locals"/ citizens are too lazy for this kind of work for that kind of pay...sad, but true.

In my experience I've had friends who are forced to lower their prices in the lawn care business to compete with illegals who work here and send the money back home.

There are certainly plenty of ways to make Mexico pay for the wall.  Just cut the billions of aid we give them and use the money to build the wall.  Simple.  Or add a one-time "wall penalty" to any companies that relocate manufacturing to Mexico.

One of the (many) things that bothers me about Trump is how little respect he has for the intelligence of the American people. Now, perhaps he has every reason to do so, but when he just throws crap out there about Ted Cruz's father being somehow involved with LHO and the Kennedy assassination,  his involvement with the birther "movement", when he just babbles about stuff with no supporting documentation ("there are reports out there") - to say nothing about his policy positions ("it'll be great") - it makes you wonder how many people will take him seriously when it comes time to vote for President, which I think most people take pretty seriously.

Watch, to that answer the left will suddenly become libertarians and say the government doesn't have the right to impose such a tax

There are 96 million working age adults out of work in the U.S., and 25 million (documented) foreign workers in the U.S.
