It would help a lot to not only see our roster, but also look at what all 16 opponents are doing. Look at our schedule, which includes the NFC North and AFC West. That must be taken into consideration when predicting how many games this Jaguars team can win with a good defense.

My expectation after the draft have jumped from 8 wins to 10 wins as well. Their are no more excuses .. If the jags dont go to the playoffs Gus should be fired instantly!!

I've said for awhile that when the turnaround happens, it will seem to happen suddenly.  So I could see the team going from 5 wins to 10 or 11 wins.  The unknown is that anytime you add so many new players as we've done with the defense, you just don't know how they're going to mesh.  My guess is that early on, they'll be a little inconsistent but have games where they look great.  I'm hoping by the end of the season they'll be playing like true Superbowl contenders even if they miss the playoffs by a small margin due to some early losses.

For the first time since '99, my expectation is that we might just win the Superbowl one day.  Khan and Caldwell have done an absolutely stellar job of it..  I believe they actually might have what it takes.  I could not be happier with the team they have put together for us. It has been a long and horrible wait to these moments we now have upon us.  This is the first time since '99 I actually look forward to any team, because we can beat all of them.

 

For this year - I expect to   WIN THE OPENER

 

And I expect to   WIN THE DIVISION   because we have the best team in the AFC South.

There will be a period of feeling out for this defense, but as each game is played things will begin to shift. My hopeful expectation is that they will at least hold their own for the first half of the season then actually becoming more of a deciding factor in the second.

Eh I dont know, you have all of OTAs and Training camp to gel. Gus likes to keep it simple so his players play fast so its not like they are learning the most complex defense ever. All I want is to be at a home playoff game(win the division) and my honest opinion is 10 wins takes it. If we can't muster 10 wins out of this roster I think Gus should get a pink slip, no excuses. This roster is rich(thank you Shad, and Dave) in talent and I would hate to see it wasted by a lame duck crappy coaching staff. Dave has earned his keep, its time for Gus to earn his.
