Game of thrones (spoilers obviously)

Quote:^ Yup, the North is easily my favorite part of the show. Would love to see a super team of Jon, Sansa, Brienne, Davos, the Wildlings, maybe Bran and hopefully The Blackfish.

I'm sure the GoT world will end up doing the opposite of what I would like to see happen though.

I'd say the North is my second favorite part. Anywhere Varys and Tyrion are in cahoots will always be the main draw. I could be down with some Davos/Brienne interactions also. Davos, in particular, is working his way up into my top 5 characters. I love me some Onion Knight!

There could be something there about the Umber's and Rickon Stark. You have to remember a very important line that Sansa was fed in Winterfell while under Ramsay's posession. "The North remembers, Lady Sansa". I don't think that was thrown out there just for good will. I truly think that there is some moves being made behind the scene.

This is how I think something is going to play out with Rickon not being the little kid anymore and that head not being Shaggydog. We don't know what's been going on with them for over a season now. Things are most likely not as they seem.

Tyrion and Varys have been a little weird this season with the jokes. Not really a fan of it.

Dorne has been a huge let down in the show series. Other than the one epic fight between Oberyn and Gregor Clegane it was hastened. Dorian was a lot more vocal and interesting in the book. He's been killed off like Arthur Dayne. So his role in the book is pretty lack luster now going forward. I am assuming that the Sand Snakes and Dorne will rally against the Lannister's and King's Landing at some point. But it would be interesting to see them hit Casterly Rock first.

I like the idea of that. We still haven't seen Casterly Rock on the tv series. And it gives opportunity to introduce other Lannister affiliated characters possibly.

So there are three dragons and legends point to three dragon riders. We can assume Dany is one of them, but who are the other two? I think it's (not going out on a limb here) two of Tyrion/Bran/Jon.

Tyrion - There is a theory out there that "A+J=T" and Tyrion is the son of Aerys II and Joanna. If so, he's for sure riding a dragon. Even if he isn't, I could see him riding one given his infatuation with dragons and being the one who released them.

Jon Snow - R+L=J is virtually a lock at this point. Jon being a Targaryren and the probably Azor Ahai gives him dragon riding equity.

Bran - Bran is definitely a Stark and I don't see him riding a dragon, per se. However, he is en route to becoming the most powerful warg of all time. That, and two comments from the bloodraven ("You will never walk again, but you will fly", "You won't stay here forever") make it possible that he wargs into one of the dragons.

What I see (or hope) is that Dany rides Drogon, Tyrion rides Rhaegal, and Bran wargs into Viserion. Jon, despite being Targaryen, chooses to lead the ground attack rather than riding a dragon.

I think the Tyrion theory is one of the worst fan theories I have ever heard for the series. Way to many times has Tyrion's lineage been drilled into our heads and has never been put in question. Multiple characters that very well should know, have said he is Tywin's son. His appearance is a shame on their family. His mother died during his birth which they all blame on him. The only reason they don't kill him is because he's a Lannister. If he was not Tywin's son there is no way they would not have allowed him to stay. Tywin was no idiot. I don't buy it for a single second.

That said, seeing him ride a dragon would be so hilarious I need it to happen somehow.

I agree with you 100%. It would take away such a dynamic that Tyrion and Tywin built. The story and how those two actors nailed their roles really make the Tyrion theory so cheap IMO.

I do think that if any non-Targ could ride a dragon, it would be Tyrion. His infatuation with dragons, the dragons ability to sense that, and Tyrion just being awesome make it work lol.

The Tyrion Targaryen theory is interesting. But it is hard to take into consideration. The only wildcard left is the possibility of Aegon and Jon Connington making a let appearance into this season and/or next season as the "3rd" dragon rider. Many fans from the books assumed this wasn't possible since it involved Tyrion story wise but I think they could always throw this out there at some point. Again, anything can happen. You'd then have a full blooded Targaryen in Daenerys, a half blooded Targareyn/Martell in Aegon thru Rhaegar and also another half blooded Targareyn/Stark in Jon thru Rhaegar. Rhagear Targaryen was an interesting character before his death. It was noted he believed that his son Aegon was the true Prince that was Promised. And I am of the theory that Aegon was not killed by Gregor Clegane during the fall of Aerys and the sacking of King's Landing.

1. Varys

2. Tyrion

3. Brienne

4. Olenna

5. Jaime

I go back and forth between Jaime and Davos if I'm honest.

Jaime was pretty great when he was with Brienne. Then it all went to pot.

I would have loved nothing more than to see Jaime and Brienne cut a bloody swathe across Westeros just because they probably could as a pair...they're the melee equivalent to me of Varys/Tyrion for subterfuge.

Edit: GoT in general needs MOAR of Olenna Tyrell, btw...
