Ode to "Let's talk about"

Quote:Just finished my 2nd interview for a promotion at work. Might be headed go Gainesville in a few weeks. Fingers crossed would be another big bump in pay.

Best of luck!

Quote:Gainesville? You sure this is a promotion?

I'd actually be getting the garage across the street from the university.

Right now I'm a service manager which is what I've pretty much been at both companies this would be a job as a general manager or shop foreman. Basically I wouldn't be turning wrenches anymore ID be running my own show.

They said that degree I just got really puts me on the fast track for a lot of stuff right now.

So you're the guy:

"Yes ma'am. We needed to replace the Johnson rod. It was bent pretty bad and is what caused misalignment of the muffler bearings, which required replacement as well. As a courtesy we topped off your halogen fluid at no cost. By the way, it's that time of year to start considering refilling your tires with summer air."

I hope this opportunity works out for you. You've put a lot of work into it while providing for a growing family. Not an easy feat.

Every day is a National Holiday of sorts. For instance, today is not only National Foam Rolling Day but also National Lipid Day!!!! (Surprise!). My Brother is probably more of a weirdo than I am and I have been a terrible brother. I didn't get him a gift or card for such an important day. I think I'll look at the upcoming [BLEEP] holiday calendar and send him a small gift and card for the next one. He might get a giggle out of it.

Now that the immature part is done, I feel like I need to say this, I don't frequent this thread a whole lot but have caught the last page or so...

Rico, I'm sorry to hear about what you and your wife are going through. I'm sure it hurts. You and your wife stay strong. Hope she has a full recovery from her injuries and you both recover as much as you can from the broken hearts you have endured after losing your beloved friend Sammie.

Today is my first day of a week vacation. I've only been at my new job for a little over a year, but I have about a month of time built up. Thinking about taking another week in July and going somewhere, not sure where yet.

They have up to class 4. When I was a teenager we went on either a class 3 or 4 it was a blast and I've always wanted to do it again. But they also have a probably boring long river ride for the younger kids and that's probably the one we'll end up doing since my four are so young.

Mostly just going to enjoy the mountains and escape the Florida heat for a week. We might venture over to one of the amusement parks. The timeshare we own also has an indoor water park so we might just spend a good amount of the time being lazy at the resort.

Sounds like a blast. River rafting is a huge interest of mine.
