Jalen Ramsey Knee Injury SMH

(This post was last modified: 05-20-2016, 09:55 AM by D6.)

I realize that everyone's injury situation is different.    On a positive note regarding this type of injury,   Darius Slay,  who plays the same position as Jalen Ramsey,  was back on the field a little over a month after having surgery for a partially torn meniscus.   Since that time,  the injury hasn't been an issue.  Now  entering his 4th season,   there's a good chance Slay will be signing a lucrative contract extension in the coming weeks or months:

Second-round pick Darius Slay practiced Tuesday for the second time since undergoing surgery to repair a partially torn meniscus following the draft. Slay took part in individual drills Monday and Tuesday, but didn't do any 7-on-7 or team drills.

"It feels good," Slay said of the knee after practice. "(I'm) moving good and moving fluid(ly) and I haven't missed a step, yet."

Save the call for the time being.    Quick recovery,

To those with the mindset of the poster you quoted blaming trainers, O-zone nailed it.

Rudy from Baldwin Lives in Connecticut:
I’m sure he's a nice guy, but we clearly need a new trainer. This doesn't happen back-to-back years without a level of incompetence. I know he was highly-regarded and recommended by our last trainer, but it's enough already. Fowler and Ramsey both had clean health histories. Can't keep chalking it up to bad luck. He's not performing.
John: Injuries are frustrating, maddening and damaging, but to think the strength-and-conditioning coach or trainer could prevent an injury to a player with whom they had been working a few days or a few weeks – or in the case of Fowler, a few hours – is to not understand the nature of injuries, the NFL or the profession.

At this rate, we might have 106 surgically repaired knees anchoring our roster.

Yep. WORST case is 3 months.

He'll be lined up opposite House game 1.

Quote:RAMSEY | His injury is truly unfortunate. However, this injury may not be as bad as it sounds especially with the fact that it happened so early. I had a similar injury and it recovered well. I'm sure the Jag doctors and trainers will do a great job. Keep

Him in your prayers.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

The injury is just bad timing and pure bad luck. Its actually not THAT bad in the sense, hes not missing games baring another set back, as in, he re injures it. The media ran with this because of Dante Fowler. They used to go getter words. First Round Pick. Jalen Ramsey. Knee Torn. BOOM. Now you have a story and clicks all day. Jalen had a small tear in a meniscus which in its worst cases, the player will be out 3  months. Jalen will probably be out for a month or two if you were asking me. He will probably miss camp or atleast the beginning, probably held out some pre season games but will be full go week 1.

Just bad timing because of what happened to Fowler.

Quote:Just want to point out that last year, JT80's finger was supposed to be a minor thing and we were told he'd be back quickly. The dude was out like 6 games. I'm not gonna believe Ramsey is back untill he actually straps up and plays on Sunday.

As of right now, he's got a knee injury that requires surgery. Who knows how long he'll be. I guess if we see him playing with the first team come August and he's putting on pad for preseason games, we'll have dodged a bullet.

Untill then, I'm just gonna assume it's a 4-6 month thing best case, and a season ender worst case. That way, I'm not gonna be any more disappointed than I am right now.

That was torn ligaments, this is a meniscus tear that is one of the most common injuries in football, and it's just a slight one according to reports.

I say we just rest Ramsey and Fowler for another year and nail next years draft with a top notch DE and OT Cam Robinson in round #2 after he shows up on twitter 10 minutes prior to the 2017 draft doing bong hits with a gas mask.
