Quote:Anyone have any thoughts to either Jon or Daenrys going dark side on us? That would depend on how you define dark...especially within the context of this series. Trying to think rationally, if one of these two were to flip, it should be Daenerys given the age she should be and all that she's been through, you could make a solid case that her going all Takhisis on us would be justified. They could also go all "Jon Stoneheart" on us...wouldn't that be a riot?

Quote:That is what I said, too.I say Jon because he's obviously a Targaryen IMO. I don't think he's a Stark at all- well, half Stark. My suspicion is Ned knew Jon was the son of his sister, Lyanna, and the Targaryen whose name I cannot think of right now.... Rheagar? He came up with the idea to take Jon home as his own bastard son to protect his identity. Young Ned went to get Lyanna from that tower where Rheagar was holding her but he didn't make it before she died and of course Robert Baratheon had Rheagar's entire family killed. So Jon had no one to protect him and Ned took up that mantle. I've read the first three books but it's been a while ago so I don't even know if this is part of the book story or TV story. Or anything more than a theory. Just my observations. So I say Dany, Jon and Bran who wargs into the third one. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

So Jon had no one to protect him and Ned took up that mantle. I don't think Jon rides, I think it'll be Dany, Tyrion, Bran. I think Jon is on the ground with the troops and Wolves. In the books Arya's wolf is leading a massive pack of wolves in the neck
Go Jags!

My only issue with Bran warging into the third dragon is the inherent difficulty with warging into something you don't have a deep connect with. While dogs are easy, wolves are more difficult unless you have that close relationship to them, which is likely much of the reason why Arya and Jon can do it without really realizing they have the ability to warg.
Looking at Varamry Sixskins, who is thought to be one of the most powerful skinchangers, even he notes the struggles with his shadowcat and snow bear. The shadowcat would violently fight him when he warged into it. The bear hated him and would rage whenever he would warg into it or ride on its back. He only attempted warging into a human once (which Bran has done, though to a simpleton), but while unsuccessful, he was on the brink of death when he tried it. I just think warging into a dragon would be a colossal undertaking, and would likely require a lot of time and effort if it is even possible to do with any semblance of control over the dragon. If anyone could accomplish it, it probably would be Bran. While I wouldn't be completely shocked if he were to be able to do it, it would be a little surprising to me. Though, with the three eyed crow telling Bran he "will never walk again, but you will fly," it's probably more likely than I'm giving it credit for.

I still think that Tyrion is more likely to ride a dragon than Jon and can see Jon choosing to lead the ground attack in the final battle vs White Walkers.

I think the point is that the world has never seeing a warg with the power and potential of Bran. Last episode the Three Eyed Raven said something along the lines of "I didn't want to sit her as the trees grew around me. I did it to wait for you." The Three Eyed Raven seems to be hinting at Bran being a huge player in the end game. Combine that with the "you will never walk again, but you will fly" and I have a hard time seeing him not warging into a dragon. We show less advertisements to registered users. Like I said, it's probably just me underestimating how powerful Bran will be. It just seems like one of those things that will take too long for Bran to completely master a dragon. The TER also wants him to learn everything, it just doesn't feel like enough time for him to see all this stuff from the past, present and future and still master a dragon before everything starts going down. It won't shock me, it just seems like so much to happen in the time before Dany heads west and the white walkers head south. You guys are probably right, I'm just leaning towards the Dany/Tyrion/Jon crew unless someone else appears in the show to take Jon's place. Maybe someone hanging out with a griffin.

Where is Gendry? The last of the Baratheons!

Bran can affect the past by manipulating time? Is Bran really the old man in the tree? I'm so confused.

That episode was brutal last night. I was making all kinds of ugly faces during the last 10 - 15 minutes. It was a great reveal. But at the same time, it kicks your thoughts into more ideas about how deep Bran's abilities really go. If it could impact Hodor in the past yet still play a role in the present and both events are essentially happening at the same time it's pretty shocking. In less it's just another weird past event reveal. But it did seem like Bran was worging into Hodor while also seeing the past at the same time.
![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. The subtle tongue, the sophist guile, they fail when the broadswords sing; Rush in and die, dogs - I was a man before I was a king."
A preview of Bran's abilities imo gives the writers a way to end the series eventually. I can see an epic battle at the end with every character about to die and then Boom! Alter space/time and we're back at Winterfell and the Stark family decide to stay put and live a quiet life
