I've come to really enjoy Dan and Jeff in the morning. They're at least funny and light hearted when Prosser isn't screaming and being a jerk. They're probably my fav. I also like Dempsey a lot. Cowart and T-Wigg just treat Hacker like a dumb kid, and that gets annoying, but I think it's a bit better with Ballou actually. Frangie's hour is the worst.

Seems to be a lot of dislike and/or disdain for 1010 and the various lineups/changes/and or individuals on the shows. But sure do have a lot of knowledge of exactly what is going on, what is being said, and what is being done. Just turn the radio dial.

I think 1010xl is just fine. I love Dempsey and loved Prisco. I like Ballou. Not a fan of Frangie, but more to do with repeating himself than anything else. Agree that Ballou needs his own show and Hacker while not the best, offers entertainment purely on the basis of getting called out all the time.

Jeff is the poster child of being a "radio tough guy".  

 

You can actually hear him thinking, trying to come up with a different word or phrase than he used before in his rant filling the empty space with grunts and "erms".

But if you're interested in hearing about other sports besides football, which some of us do, then the other personalities bring nothing to the party.

Dan Hicken is great. He is level headed enough when it comes to the gators.

I like 1010, in fact I think Hacker's show is the best.  He will say something and the get picked apart.  It shows two angles to every store. 

 

I do think at times there are too many commercials, but what can you do?

 

Commercial radio depends on spots to be in business...  The fact they have some means local business think people are listening and hearing those ads..  If you want fewer commercials, pay for Sat Radio which has sports talk stations that have few commercials..

I like Hacker.  He's come a long way since the Tebow era.  But one thing I do notice is that I always listen to 1010 on AM.  I wonder how much of a factor that plays in.  Voices sound way different on AM vs FM.   My guess is that on AM they compress more and increase the pitch.  I don't know if this helps or hurts Hacker.  Either way, I like the way AM sounds better (for talk radio).
