Quote:Could we be one of the few teams in the history of this list to have ten or more players on the top 100? Brakes: pump them, maybe.
BOYYYYYYY THE HATE IS STRONG [BAD WORD REMOVED].
Edit: How about if you don't think blake deserves to be on that list higher than the other QBs then go root for their team and get the ............out of here. I don't recall Luck or Carr fans being mad they made the list but I guess when the Jags go higher it causes concern. smh
Season Tix, Section 409
2023 and still counting.....SB will finally be ours soon enough. TLaw aka 'the prince that was promised' supporter.
Quote:Just imagine once the team starts winning and Lee and Linder stay healthy, and if we hit on Ramsey, Jack, and another FA or two with Jackson and Gipson.lol, how about 15 players? Quote:Brakes: pump them, maybe. Not saying this year, but the next 2-3 years? Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

Ramsey has a real chance to make it as does Jack. Jackson and Fowler as well. Linder when healthy and I wouldn't be surprised to see Yeldon on that list soon. I wouldn't count out Cann if the overall OL play improves. Bortles, ARob, Hurns, Telvin, Thomas are all possible regulars on the list. So Bortles, ARob, Hurns, Thomas, Telvin, Ramsey, Jack, Linder, Yeldon, Fowler and Jackson all have a legitimate chance to make the top 100 list in my opinion. There are a lot of wildcards but it could happen and in the offseason I think it's fun to think about. There are other talented guys on the team that I didn't lost too. Lee, Greene, Cann, Ivory, House, they are good players too. This team is so much more talented than past years.
Quote:lol, how about 15 players? How is this a laughable proposition (the idea of ten players in the top 100)? Consider that Gipson made the Pro Bowl just two seasons ago, and is what...26?. Consider Julius Thomas was a Pro Bowler not long ago, either and still in his prime. Both made the top 100 just in 2015. Consider our draft this year was almost universally lauded-just like the one in 2014. Ramsey and Jack were both considered top five prospects. The five we have on the list now-Hurns, Smith, Ivory, Bortles, and likely Allen Robinson-are still early in their careers. If the five currently on the list maintain the status quo for another year or two, and the four I mentioned either improve their level of play to previous years, or in the case of Ramsey and Jack live up to projections, that's nine players there. That's not mentioning Malik Jackson, Senderrick Marks (who has made the pro bowl for us recently and also made the 2015 list) Fowler or some guys who may surprise us with their development. Just last year, 10 Carolina Panthers were named to the Pro Bowl. It's possible, even allowable, for the Jaguars to collect a bunch of good players. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

Quote:Thanks Scarecrow. Then I forgot to include Gipson! He's one of my favorite Caldwell additions. I cannot believe I forgot him. Quote:Then I forgot to include Gipson! He's one of my favorite Caldwell additions. I cannot believe I forgot him. That's the thing. Aside from the five that made it this year, there are at least three others-Gipson, Marks and Julius Thomas-who made the list in 2015. Us having ten players in the top 100 isn't science fiction. It isn't far fetched. If things go well for us, it's a distinct possibility. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

Quote: </blockquote> A couple others touched on it. The list is SUPPOSED to be from 2015 performance. However, reputation keeps some people, Luck, on there in injury riddled/down seasons. At the end of the day though, we have a QB that the players feel is in the top 60 players of the league. Whether that's last year, or for the future, I'm stoked either way.

Quote:That's the thing. The problem is there is a natural ebb and flow to these things. Gibson plays lights out this year, but Telvin ends up with less big plays and misses it next year. Marquise Lee stays healthy and takes targets away from Hurns- he's gone off the list. Ivory shares touches with Yeldon and no longer leads the AFC in rushing. Someone gets hurt. Someone from the Browns emerges and supplants on of our previous players. It's pretty far-fetched in my opinion. On a side note , I wonder how many teams in the history of this list have had 4 players from one single draft class (including Hurns). That, to me, is most impressive.

Quote:The problem is there is a natural ebb and flow to these things.Yeah, but who says the ebbs and flows necessarily have to take place within a two year period? It IS possible for players to have two or more consecutive good years. I know the Gene Smith era clouds the perspective of many Jaguars fans, but yes it's possible and allowable for the Jaguars. The thing is, none of the guys on the list who have been Jaguars their entire careers had their good reputations working on their behalf. Now that the players around the league have recognized their abilities despite the team's record, now if they maintain their level of play and stay healthy, their reps will work in their favor. Even a slight drop off in statistical performance with some might keep them on the list whereas a guy without the reputation around the league as a good player might not get that benefit of the doubt.. If some players fall off the list, given our nucleus, its entirely possible for other players to ascend to the list for the first time in their careers, or return to it. But even assuming some players fall off the list, to have five or more players either on the list or on the cusp of the list or capable of being on the list bodes well for the roster. But again, if all goes well with this team (especially injury wise), I could see ten or more guys on this list in the next year or two. That's what drafting well in successive years brings to a team. That's why Gus must win. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
