Don't speak of such things! People would lay siege on their Facebook page and IMDB, etc. I think it would be a bad move.

I think Jon has a 91% chance to come out of that battle a winner.

Currently reading ADWD and I just finished up a Bran chapter. I want to say it's right around the beginning of the 500's. Anyway, he's still learning his Greenseer abilities with the the Bloodraven. And an interesting passage comes up with him having visions of his father Ned in the Godswood. He cries out to him, similar to the show, and Ned flat-out asks "Who is there!?!?". The way they word it though will lead you to believe that Bran is "dreaming" in this case and not actually "seeing" anything. Of course Leaf and the others tell him that he cannot change the past, and that it must have been the wind. Beginning to think we all know that's simply not the case now thanks to the show.

BUT.

Another interesting passage came up. Bran sees a girl who he thought was Arya. But he realized it wasn't. But he doesn't know who she is. It's probably his Aunt Lyana who he never met. The interesting bit though is that he sees her again, pregnant this time with long brown hair saying or praying "Please give me my son, so that he can avenge me". If this is in reference to Lyana birthing Jon Snow. It begs the question. What EXACTLY is she asking to be avenged? Was she really in love with Rhaegar Targaryen? Or was she betrayed? I just thought that piece was interesting.

I'd completely forgotten about that. Thanks for reminding me, SF.

I always got the impression that it was Renly she was always in love with...even now. Even in lieu of his proclivities and discounting his untimely demise, he was the only man who was ever genuinely nice to her with no ulterior motive as I recall.

You recall correctly.  Also Briene nearly goes crazy when she meets Gendry in the riverlands because he looks so much like Renly

Here's an interesting theory on time travel in GoT

Quote:"Burn them all" meant to be a message from Bran about the dead bodies, but misinterpreted by the mad king?
Maybe. As mentioned by someone else it could just be nothing as mental health is an issue with that bloodline. I think it's more of a possibility after seeing the way hodor reacted and kept repeating the same thing similar to how Jamie describes the mad king. I'm no expert by an means on the books or show but found the theory interesting regardless.

Euron: Yo dawgs lets make a bunch of ships...maybe a thousand should do

Dany: Bruh, how many ships you think I need?

Daario: Ionno like a thousand?

Dany: Cool beans.

This season will go down as the GOAT season btw

Not a bad episode last night. Was happy to say Sam do what he did with Heartsbane and Gilly and the baby. Not sure where they will run off to next. I assuming he still goes to Old Town to become a Maester but that wouldn't make much sense now that his father already knows that was his original intent. So now what?

Good to see Uncle Benjen back as well. Looks like the Children of the Forest and Bloodraven kept him alive and gave him some abilities to help protect Bran.

It wasn't mentioned during the actual episode, but right after on the inside the episode thing the creators/producers referred to him as Coldhands Benjen.

Boy that dragon is getting mighty big. And it's good they finally brought in Cold hands and showed who he really was.

I don't think Benjen Stark and Coldhands will be the same characters in the books. But I do guess they went ahead and merged Benjen and Coldhands on the show to save time on the story arch. I guess these next few episodes are going to be all about political backing and gaining for support between Jon, Sansa & Davos.

I don't think I can this a great episode considering the complete lack of Davos.

Jokes aside it was pretty good. Maybe it's just me though.... but there does not seem to be much in the way of lumber on the Iron Isles. There is a lot of time warpy traveling that occurs in this show. People just showing up in what seems like a day or two that should take weeks or longer but them building a thousand ships should take forever.

Pumped to see the Blackfish in next week's episode. Would love to see Sansa/Jon get the Riverlands behind them for the Winterfell fight.

Also, with the Brothers without Banners coming back into play, wonder if we will see "you know who"?

Yeah, those 2 freys mentioned them in their little speech, makes you wonder. Would be super awesome if they did bring "you know who" into the fold, but I doubt it will happen.

Also, I do recall in one of the season trailers, they showed a scene that looked like Lannisters at the twins having a party or celebration, assuming the Blackfish escapes, could be a chance we get to see some 'frey pies' at that celebration at the twins. Won't be the same as in the books, but hey, gotta take what you can get.

There are a few sources of aid in Braavos atm for Arya. Syrio, Theon and Gendry most notably.

It also wouldn't surprise me if Jaquen ends up assisting her. It's been pretty clear from jump that the Waif does not like Arya. Jaquen specifically instructs the Waif to kill Arya quickly and not make her suffer. So what does she do? She stabs Arya repeatedly with a dirk so that the girl will bleed out. Not a quick, mercy killing at all. In essence, the true test was for the Waif and she failed miserably due to malicious intent and there will be a reckoning.

I really hope they decide to make a GOT movie like they did Entourage. It should be a 10 hour movie.

Also, HBO is the Barry Sanders of networks. Their uncanny ability to pull the plug on shows while they are their apex is pretty impressive.

This mirrors my thoughts, the Waif essentially committed the same offense for which Arya received a death sentence. She let it get personal.

Last night's episode was gold for me based on the tongue lashing Olenna Tyrell gave Cersei Lannister alone.
