Top 100

Quote:I think Dez is the more complete player right now, and seeing as I hate the cowboys, I almost vomit anytime I compliment that team or any of its players. But Dez is a top 5 WR.

Could Allen Robinson eventually be better? Definitely. He's what, 24 and already playing at the level that he is? He has the potential to be the best WR in the NFL IMO. He has the skill set to do it.

I believe he is like 22.

Quote:That wasn't my question.

Dez is ranked 51st, Arob could be in the 40s, 30s, or higher....

Does that really make sense?

Just another flawed voting system.

HOWEVER......

I'm glad our guys are getting some love from other players. That accounts for a lot, imo. I don't know if AR15 is actually better than Dez. I'd be very reluctant to say so. But on the other end I DO think Bortles is about the 11th best QB in the league, despite his knack for throwing INTs.

(Recently watched the Brett Favre marathon on NFLN, I think we'll be able to live with his INTs)

A healthy Dez last year with Bortles throwing to him on our team possibly eclipses his own stat highs....

Hell.... a healthy Romo and Dez last year might have done it. We don't know that.

Can't go off numbers alone. Surely the players aren't doing that when they vote?

Nah... injured players are oft-forgotten. Which is why Luck goes from top 20 to bottom 20.

It's why Dez is at 51 instead of top 20 (where he probably deserves)

Even still... this list means more, in my opinion, than the pro bowl.

It's not flawed. Not flawed one bit. The players vote based on performances from the recent season of football with a "little bit" of what they expect to see potentially in the next season coming up. That's why you still saw guys like Andrew Luck and Dez Bryant making the list this year despite missing a substantial amount of playing time due to injuries. Statistically, based on 2015 and a pro-bowl nod, Allen Robinson deserved to be ranked higher than Dez Bryant this year. He's showing similar traits and ball skills as Dez. Allen Hurns was ranked 88th. Behind other various receivers. He was ranked because of his TD streak and the solid numbers he put up and he gets the extra nod from his fellow peers for being undrafted. Dez could just as easily climb into the top 20 on next year's list if he returns to his 2014 form. Which he probably will. A strong running game could help his cause.

You need to chill and realize this list is based off of what they did last season. Robinson was better than Dez, period. Robinson actually plays the game with heart and for his team, while Dez looks like an everything is about me person. Just like Odell. We are very lucky to have 2 non diva stud wide receivers.
I need to chill and realize what?

All I've ever heard is this list is a projection for the year to come. Top Players of 2016. The season that is yet to be played.

Now Robinson may very well be a better receiver. But I think the list in general should be taken with a grain of salt.

AP made the list after missing an entire year. It's a projection.

And... I'll leave this here..

Hitner is just sore. They probably should make it more inclusive, but they're not going to flat out lie about players voting. They even go into detail about how several players vote for their top 20, and then they make the list of 100 from those results. I'm sure there may be some natural bias by those putting the list together, but for Hitner to not make the list merely means that players no longer feel he projects as a top 20 guy. It doesn't necessarily mean he's a not top 100 guy.

They advertised next list of 40-31 stating "A jaguar in the top 30?". Probably unlikely so he may be coming at maybe 31

A-Rob is in the building at 31 which gives us 5 players on this list.
