Quote:OMG he's given up a sack before. Cut him immediately!

He got Ben nearly killed quite a few times and has given up as many sacks as "Joke" over his career and not a very good run blocker at that. Now he is coming off an ACL when his lack of height and reach really requires a strong base. Expectations seem astronomically high. I'd rather neither take the LT spot, but hey, let the competition begin.

If Fowler wasn't abusing the Joke, I'd really be worried.

Lol at the guy posting up 1 gif of Beachum giving up a sack. Steelers fans liked him, I doubt they'd like him if that was his standard type of play.

I've seen Tyron Smith.

Tyron Smith is a great tackle.

Luke Joeckel is no Tyron Smith.

Haha.   I wonder how many people get the reference.

Back to the original topic, though, from what little film I've seen of Dante Fowler this year, he looks like a fantastic player.  I'm really stunned at how quick he is.    It makes me wonder, he's so young, I think he was only 20 when he was drafted, I wonder if he's still developing physically.   He was kind of pudgy last year.   It's possible  the year off was good for him.  Getting in the weight room, working out.   He looks so quick out there.   Luke Joeckel isn't the only offensive lineman he's going to make look silly.

Fowler looks really good so far.

But, as someone else stated, No Pads.

What would we all think of Joeckel if he was going full contact and Fowler or Jackson ended up getting hurt in a No Pads Practice? Torch and Pitchforks would be lit up.

I'm betting at least one other person gets it.

As for Fowler, though I hated seeing him get injured like that and miss the whole year, hopefully, somehow, it's a blessing in disguise for this team, and he makes a whole lot of tackles look silly, starting with David Bakhtiari (Sp), continuing with King Dunlap, Ronnie Stanley and Anthony Costonzo.

most young folks don't

It's misused/overused/abused by millennials the way "like" was used the same way by the kids in the 80s.

LOL at that one clueless guy that believes it was the only sack and that is all that is wrong with him. FYI...Steeler fans tolerated him and management replaced him. The LT position is a weakness and the answer is not an undersized (reach) guy recovering from an ACL with a history of playing like what we already have. It's a stop gap at best IF he beats out "Joke". Feel free to look up stats or game video that says I'm off base.

Check out this technique. Pretty Joeckel like huh?   http://www.primogif.com/p/FLsOBRC6eoy8E

I think credit really should be given to Fowler. Heck, he was abusing anybody and everybody that lined up on the right side, including AJ Cann and Wells.

I think it's fair to say that our offensive line is by far our weakest group.

What if Joeckel truly is better, better than average, and Fowler is just really, REALLY good...

???

We'll see.  We don't know what Fowler can really do yet in the NFL until he suits up under the lights.

Encouraging, either way.
