Giorgio Tavecchio?

Should the Jags take a look at Tavecchio when the Raiders release him?

Nah. He has yet to even play in an NFL game and has bounced around from camp to camp. This tells me he is not a kicker that has that "wow" factor worth taking a look at.

Been competing with Jano for a few years. Has looked good in pre-season games I've seen. Would definitely give Myers legit competition imo

Believe he's around 25 and has a pretty big leg

Never heard of him, but his name sounds like a kicker in a football comedy movie.

Giorgio Tavecchio was in competition for the Lions kicking job in 2014.   He had a noticeably better kicking summer than then rookie 7th Round pick Nate Freese ( who turned out to be a bust ) but he missed a 51 yard FG against the Jaguars in the 4th QTR of the 3rd pre-season game that likely cost him his job.  Tavecchio was released when the Lions had to cut the roster to 75.   Pre-season games are meaningless for many players but this was the ultimate football pressure situation for Tavechhio.   He didn't deliver and has never been able to establish himself since.

So he'd be perfect for the Jaguars.
