So who are we drafting?.... in 2017.

i think hell have a solid year but id still honestly like mcaffrey over him purely on talent/skillset. Good runner and a great receiver, hed make green bays offense that much more fun. Idk where hell get drafted, prob second round spomewhere so idk if that would be worth it for their team vs other needs

Did I just seriously read McCaffrey is Toby Gerhert 2.0?

That had to have been some sort of joke.

I think our team will finish about middle of the pack this year. So I'll assume we're selecting in that 17th - 20th slot.

If the defense struggles this year, yet again. I could see us targeting a player like Jamal Adams at Safety from LSU or Desmond King at Corner from Iowa.

If the offense struggles in the running game again this year, despite a 2nd year effort from Yeldon and newly signed Ivory. I could see us looking at even a runningback like Nick Chubb from UGA or Christian McCaffrey from Stanford.

Obviously mock drafts at this point are based on assumptions so I am going to assume:

-Beachum wins the LT spot and plays well enough to receive the 4 year extension

-The Joke is a bust at LG and the guys behind him prove nothing more than depth guys

-Cyp proves to be an average SS, team will allow him to walk

-Fowler shows enough to be considered the LEO for the foreseeable future

-We wont be major players in FA

-We will finish 8-8/9-7

Round 1. Jabrill Peppers SS Michgian- Super athletic and versatile (sound familiar? Fowler, Ramsey, Jack) and can do so much more than Cyp. Along with Jack, can help solve the TE issues we've been having. Gipson and Peppers is a nasty safety duo.

Alternate Pick- Jamal Adams SS LSU.

Round 2. Dan Feeney OG Indiana- Plug and play at LG and would solidify the O-line. He's balanced in terms of pass and run blocking ability. Interior o-line would be set for next 10 years with him, Linder, and Cann.

Alternate Pick- Pat Elflein OG Ohio State.

Round 3. Kendell Beckwith LB LSU- More of a thumper which differentiates him from Telvin and Myles (who are our nickel LBs). He can sit behind Poz and eventually take over 1st down and running situations. Can be that physical presence of the LB corps.

Alternate Pick- Keith Kelsey LB UL.

i dont think anyone but fournette goes first. If mcaffrey goes in the first it will be late, so he could be the packers choice there or early second in a trade up.

If Dalvin Cook stays healthy this year he will go first round. Someone will fall in love with that speed (and rightfully so).

There will be probably 3-4 rbs taken in Rd 1
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Weston Steelhammer is a safety in the 2017 draft. He's not very good but has a 1st round name.
