Quote:I mentioned before it was the best movie battle scene I've ever seen. From Jon's enraged charge, his own cavalry overtaking him and meeting Bolton's head on, the beautiful portrayal of the fog of war to that encircling phalanx, literally suffocating Snow and his forces. The look on Ramsey's face when the Knights of the Vale arrived. I need to re-watch this episode tonight but never have truer words than the bolded been spoken. I wasn't particularly invested in Kit/John until now...I was only invested in Ramsay because I was already a huge Rheon fan, but still...absolutely amazing!

Amazing how big GoT's budget is. Also, now you kinda have an idea why the gaps between seasons take so long.
I think it's refreshing that the show is now shifting to a more continuous storyline, now that they have surpassed the books, but I still hope they throw a few curveballs here and there. I'm guessing next week's season finale will have a couple of surprises and deaths
Quote:He better not be expecting anything. He's lucky she didn't throw his [BAD WORD REMOVED] in with the hounds. True, but scenes for the season finale makes it seem like he expects something from her for showing up. Or maybe in the letter she wrote she promised him something if he came with his army. I guess we find out Sunday.

If she promised him something that's different. But if he truly wants to make amends like he said, he needs to sit in back like a good little boy and shut it.

This has been annoying me all day. I can't think of where else I have seen an exchange similar to when the masters gave their terms of surrender to Dany and Dany said "Oh, no. We are here to discuss the terms of YOUR surrender".
Braveheart? Vikings? Black Sails? Quote:True, but scenes for the season finale makes it seem like he expects something from her for showing up. Or maybe in the letter she wrote she promised him something if he came with his army. I guess we find out Sunday. One thing's for sure, Littlefinger didn't do it from the goodness of his heart. Whatever agreement he made with Sansa, she should know better than to trust him. Hopefully she'll watch her back.
If something can corrupt you, you're corrupted already.

I had a similar thought, but I think it's because I've seen it used more than once. It was pretty stupid of the masters, not expecting Kahleesi to play the dragon card.

In fairness, I'm guessing they didn't expect the dragons to be that big at this point. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
re: Littlefinger
I think his goal is to be Warden of the North and to do that he wants to put an heir in Sansa. That is what I feel they were hinting at in the trailer.
Good episode, very satisfying, very well produced and acted. Still something has changed since they've moved away from the source material. It seems a little more paint by numbers now. That's not necessarily a bad thing, some great shows that are subject to that, but I hope it doesn't become overly predictable.
Also, what happened to travel times? Seems like trips that used to take half a season are happening in the same episode. Asha (still can't call her Yara) and Theon's trip should have taken a couple weeks at least. What is up with that?
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Quote:re: Littlefinger This is what I suspect as well.
Probably the best episode battle wise since the Blackwater episode. Jon was a man possessed. It was good seeing what happened to Ramsay. I figured Rickon wasn't going to make it. With a 69 minute finale this Sunday I think they're going to try and tie up all four main story lines with some filler. Cersei and King's Landing (Should eat up most of the show). Jon and Sansa aftermath in Winterfell (Will be brief probably). Daenerys and Euron Greyjoy story (Probably a good 10 - 15 minutes). Sam and Gilly for filler. And then I think they will close this season out with the last 9 - 12 minutes of showing Bran doing more flashbacks, with hopefully Jon's parentage being revealed. Or at least showing us what happened in the Tower of Joy. And then I could see them cutting back to the Night's King breaking down the Wall at Castle Black which should set the stage for next season. And I believe next season is going to be fewer overall episodes with more battles going on like we saw in last night's episode. Which is fine by me.

So any chance of LSH seems to be gone, I wonder if they will alter that storyline a bit with Arya taking her place as the leader of the Brothers? She still has it out for the Freys and the Brothers have history with her.

It's a fine character for the books but, IMO it's convoluted for the show. Especially with only what like 13 episodes left overall?

Maybe have her run into the BWB with the Hound since it seems they are on their way to the North?
I think Arya get's the short end regardless of how the story unfolds. I think she'll get side tracked as usual or delayed somehow in her attempt to get back to Winterfell. Wouldn't be surprised either way though. They've already reunited Jon and Sansa. Next logical and fan hopeful reuninon would involve Bran and Arya merging with the family as well. Bran is going to the Wall. Arya is trying to get back to Winterfell. It would be a nice moment. But, personally. I just think she'll get swept up into another issue. Possibly bumping into Jaime Lannister. Also, where are the Sand Snakes and the rest of the Martell's storyline heading? We've been so caught up with Cersei and her issues in King's Landing but what if the Martell's make a surprise attack or assault in King's Landing in the finale? I don't think we're finished there.

Maybe Arya is who ultimately takes out Cersei. Assuming all the other names on her list are gone by a certain point, Cersei flees Kings Landing at some point and looks like she's going to get away only to ultimately meet Needle.

The Dorne plot is the worst plot on the show. They have just plain botched it. It's boring and takes away from what appears to be 4 seperate interesting story lines.

The writers are seeing the general backlash from their handling of a fan favorite story line. Surely they will work something neat out for her to do. |
