Yes, they are, it's a staple of their worldview.

Nope, just restrict them to the point it is useless. By the way, you are only allowed to drive your car on Mon., Thurs., and sometimes Sun., between the hours of 4am and 10. If you try to use a family members car, you will need to register it in your name before use. Further more, additional taxes may be levied at our discretion. Don't even think about using anything beyond 90 octane gasoline, it makes the car way too dangerous for any normal citizen. Lastly, statistics show a black Honda is way faster and more dangerous than a white Honda. Just looking after your well being.

Quote:if the police didn't have a history of abusing blacks then this wouldn't be an issue, but they do and here we are.

Blacks are in the minority population wise, but commit the majority of the crimes...and I'm just guessing here, but I'd bet that the majority of the police force is white. So it stands to reason that a lot of the time a white officer will be tasked with dealing with a black criminal.

With your response I can't tell if you're affirming abuse by police or not. Please clarify.

I think he's saying it's a coincidence that police use excessive force against blacks only because more blacks commit crimes than whites and more whites are police officers.

No racism has ever been involved ever.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that your stance is that all white cops are dirty and if they have to deal with anyone of a different color they are automatically culpable?

I'm still interested in what he has to say.

Yeah that would be quite a limb as I've explained while I've had negative interactions with cops, I haven't encountered a "bad" one.

There are bad cops...both white and black, and police brutality, in a perfect world should never occur. Unfortunately we don't have a perfect world. And yes, there is far more likelyhood of a white cop encountering a black criminal.

It's true anybody can be a victim of police brutality irregardless of race.  That's not to say that personal prejudices don't come in to the equation with some of these encounters.  They obviously do since cops are human like anybody else, and in some (rare) cases they are not what I would consider a 'quality' human being.  They're just as bad as the criminals they get paid to arrest.

This was hilarious and sad at the same time. Well done.

I don't think anyone is questioning, unless I've missed it, the likelihood of a white cop encountering a black criminal. I was wondering if you agreed that there exists a history of cops, white or black, abusing blacks?

Quote:How can you tell from the available footage, what happened? How do you know he didn't go for his gun. The latest footage clearly shows the cops weren't "happy" with how it went down. To hear you talk, they were high-fiving after.

The Cops responded to a call of a big dude matching his description for brandishing a weapon. He was a convicted felon and sex offender, he shouldn't have had the gun in the first place.

#1 if you are a convicted felon with a gun on you, give up. Don't fight the cops.

Personally, I'm glad those cops went home that night. How many run in's with the cops did it take for them to take him out.

I'm assuming this will not get a answer but do you have info on the Baton Rouge PD Disciplinary history? I wasn't able to find anything.

I think you bring up a good point. Cops are human to. They have to make split second decision based on information available as they arrive on scene. Further adding to the pressure is when an individual is non compliant and dangerous. The public is too quick to judge based on race and limited information instead of actual circumstance. Instant media has made everybody an expert.

So all the civil rights activists were criminals?

Sure there is history... Look, I'm on my phone and this is difficult. I log on my computer later to discuss. I'm still at work.

However instant media is a good thing.  It holds people accountable knowing everybody can see what you're doing.

Ok, since FBT appears too busy to answer my question, perhaps you will. What would be needed in this situation for you to come to the conclusion this was racial?

I'm black and and the majority of my friends and family have no criminal history.

You need to work on your generalizations of certain races.

BTW the BLACK cops were not convicted or charged in the death of Freddie Gray.

Let that sink in.
