So looks like I'm moving to Titans country....

Speaking of bringing this thread up and all the craziness going on. There was a random shooter this morning by me, shot up random cars going up and down the road. Injured 4 people and a police officer. [BLEEP] man.

IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

It's going to be grueling, but I think I'm up to the challenge.

What brought the move back to civilization on? Thought you loved living out there.

I've heard horror stories about those things! Glad I've never had to deal with them.

Glad you got through that unharmed Skeet.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

I could tell you horror stories about one guy that is putting our neighborhood through hell...just because he can. But that would take too much time, would raise my blood pressure, and you probably wouldn't believe some of the stunts he's pulled anyway. Everyone that tells me there's "one of those" in every neighborhood, has never met this guy.

Short version, he has cost the HOA...in turn, the entire neighborhood...over $60,000 in legal fees just defending itself against frivolous [BLEEP]. And that is his sole purpose, to cost us all money. We have been able to get some of it back, but he keeps appealing or starting new legal actions every time he loses. He has a bunch of money and he doesn't care if he is blowing, as long as he gets to make everyone else miserable. I'm trying to see if we (the residents) can sue him for harrassment but haven't had the time to look for an attorney...much less know what 'kind' of attorney we'd need. There is something seriously wrong with this dude.

Better?

Wow...what bug crawled up his butt? Is he trying to get rid of the HOA or just likes being a [BAD WORD REMOVED] hole?

In all seriousness, he's just being a Richard, trying to prove he's 'right'. And, unfortunately, he has a lot of disposable money. Just too much to get into. This has been going on over a six-year span...SIX YEARS. I love my house, but I've just had enough.

What determines if you're in an HOA? The neighborhood just decides it? The developer?

Generally the developer, but could be either.

Interesting, thanks. I'm considering moving closer to the city, I'll have to watch out for that. Probably an experience I'll want to avoid having lived in wide open farm country most of my life.

Welp.  Made an offer on an older 'fixer-upper' in old Fruit Cove.  We get this house and I know what I'll be doing with all of my 'free' time for the next two or three years.
