Is Derek Carr really better than Blake Bortles?

Interesting analysis. I thought they brought up very interesting points. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Did they record this in their garage. The one guy sounds like Ryan hacker Green.
I stopped listening. Neither guy has probably never played football.
The commentators had some valid points, especially that a lot of Jags fans seem content to forget how horrendous some of Blake's mistakes were last year. However, I found an interesting stat for comparing Bortles and Carr which isn't brought up often enough and it's QBR in the 4th quarter. Take a look for yourself:
http://www.sportingcharts.com/nfl/stats/...ting/2015/ Neither one of these QBs is where they need to be yet, but if I were betting money on which one will have the better career I'd say hands down it's going to be Blake. I have a feeling Carr has reached his peak and I think Bortles has more potential and will make another jump this year.

Who do you want leading your team? The one who falls apart at the end of the game, or the one who may struggle to start but finishes strong? You can debate it either way, but I'd take the clutch 4th quarter guy every time. Also, I agree that Carr has probably peaked or is close to it, he's a year older than Blake already and I just don't see the eye opening plays to show me he'll be much better. He's good, his accuracy is solid, he throws about league average INTs. But you have to consider his OL as well, one of the best pass blocking lines in the league. Carr fans will make the exact same arguments against Blake, but IMO, I just see much more potential in Blake.
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
Carr has been a lot better than I ever thought he would be. The guy has command of the offense, seems to know where to go with the ball, and throws with zip and accuracy.
With all that said I like Bortles better. I think he has the better arm, it just needs to be dialed in. I like the way he plays and the way he commands the offense will grow in year two. Add a healthy JT to the start of last season and we probably finish the year with 400 more yards of passing offense. They have plenty of weapons over there in Oakland so I think the two teams are actually pretty comparable.
Go Jags!
*To stay up for atleast 2 years 3/6/17 2016 draft players I think will be good

To me Carr is a quarterback that a fan would be happy to have leading his team and his upside would make fans very pleased. Bortles also has his fans happy they have him, with the potential to be delighted. I see Carr's peak at maybe Flacco/ below Rivers, and Bortles at Favre/Roethlisberger. It will be interesting to watch them over the next couple of years. I also think both franchises are building good teams to support them. Nice to see two perennial basement dwellers turning it around.
